Mirror Maze Of Illusions II

"Agent Regal..y.. you can't be here, I just finally accepted this is real. You can't be real. Impossible," Zayde stated, stuttering in-between as he distanced himself from the man. Ravena was also confused, infact she was terrified to the point she couldn't move. She felt offended on his behalf, No one dared make her master feel belittled or even shocked.

Seeing her master stutter and loose his cool, to the point he avoided making contact with the stranger was enough to tell her something was definitely wrong and if she couldn't do anything, their chances of survival would be less than fifty.

It was either Zayde would be blinded by rage soon and eventually kill the man brutally, thus ending up in the Hyperion soldiers that she sensed were close although they were supposed to guard the temple.

Her gaze fearfully followed Regal's movements, every step he took made Zayde shiver and move one step away, she reached behind her, taking hold of the Sword. Her eyes trained on Regal alone, observing the strange man's, so she would easily attack if he tried to do anything.

"Zayde what's your surname, Yes Rivers, right?" Regal's laughed, approaching Zayde who looked frightened and angry at the same time. "Why didn't you kill her like you did to the rest? You shouldn't trust anyone Zayde, You trusted me to end your life and look what we have now. In a dream!"

"No, I'm not dreaming, You are not real!" Zayde yelled back, reaching out to grab Regal's collar, he dragged the man close and watched with wide eyes as regalsy smile grew wider when their faces were inches apart, eyes gleaming with an abnormal intensity.

However Zayde soon realized something as he stared into the eyes of Regal, It was like he was staring at glass and he could see through them. His brows curved in confusion, wondering what or who was trying to play ridiculous games with him.

Without thinking twice, He twisted the said Regal's head and watched the body drop lifelessly to ground, it vanished and turned into a purple glittery dust that also disappeared without leaving a single trace behind. He sighed out in relief, unaware of how Ravena looked at him, Her eyes held a mix of worry, fear and somewhat betrayed.

"Master," she called lowly, putting the sword back in its sheath. "Who is he and why were you so terrified of him? No one can scare you right?" She paused to see his reaction, hoping he wouldn't avert his gaze, but when he did she got her answer and sighed in disappointment. "It's best we split up to find the scroll, Maybe later you would trust me enough to tell me anything and everything."

She stated briefly, her voice holding no resentment or negative feeling for him besides disappointment in both herself and him. She handed over a sheath to him, containing a sword and scythe before walking off, taking a right turn down the hall that he had not noticed they were in.

Left alone once again to think accurately without any distractions like Ravena. He took an opposite turn, leaving the hall completely till he found himself in another, but larger, surrounded by statues, ranging from big to small and black to white.

Arranged in the massive room in an ascending order from the least attractive and smallest to the dark twin statues that stood at the end of the hall gazing down at him or whatever was there.

He walked deeper into the room, taking slow and calculated steps. His clutched the sheath, waiting for a slight movement anywhere.

"Oblivon, where am I?"

[The Core of the Mirror Maze, You are a hall away from the Heart]

"I see, What are these statues?"

[They are The guardians of the Twelve realms, consisting of Six Tenebrix Race Demons, Three Faes and Three Celestials]

"Nice, What exactly is their purpose?" Zayde asked as he moved touching every statue to know the texture and material they were built with, most of them seemed to have books, some had Chalices and others Staffs. The twin Statues, each held a chalice and a book in their arms and they were built in a way that one would think they were actually speaking.

[They serve as the Guardian to the One Realm that houses the other eleven in it. They act as Realm masters, responsible for Keeping the realms in a balance]

"Cool," Zayde mouthed, now standing under the twin statues, he raised his head up, with the very intention of catching them moving like every horror movie he saw had. But instead of the statues moving, figures crawled out of the Chalice, moving like serpents down the massive structures.

Zayde flinched a bit, searching for what he could call them, because they looked nothing like Illusions, crimson eyes that shone in the dark. "Oblivon, any records of Figures besides the Statues?" Zayde asked as he backed away from the statues, step by step, He reached behind him and almost fainted when he realized his sheath was no where to be found.

"Shit," He cursed, regrets washing over him when he did not hold his sheath in his hands, still keeping his eyes focused on the movements of the figures, he couldn't bring himself to look away, knowing fully well their speed would be doubled. "This can't be an illusion as well right?"

[Unfortunately, the Magic in this hall is far weaker than that of the previous hall. There is a Twenty percent chance those are illusions]

"Great, just great, Now I'm going to get attacked by figures who would either eat, kill or possibly Do unimaginable things to my body. Awesome, just what I needed," He said a loud and heaved a tiring sigh, he raised his hand up, causing the figures to pause watching silently.

"I have no clue what you guys are so, Why don't you be less mysterious and stand before me. You are not cowards right?" He paused to catch his breath and then continued.

"Hiding in the Shadows is my things and you can't be shadow entities, so be Good girls or boys and get down here," Zayde said, hoping what he had said would not provoke them, he stayed still, gazing up at them fearfully as they conversed among themselves silently.

His eyes grew wide when they all leaped off where they hid in the shadows, All surrounding him, purring softly for some reason he couldn't think about. They all looked similar, well defined curves, faint crimson eyes and dressed in something he assumed was an amour that barely covered anything.

"Girls," He uttered, sounding extremely disappointed "Just had to be female Demons."

"You are not bad yourself," One of them remarked sarcastically, glaring hard at Zayde, Terribly insulted by his displeased tone.

"He's really not bad, He looks like one of the statues and I must say he is good looking, compared to the others that came here," Another said, resulting in a frown that appeared on Zayde's face.

He turned around hoping to find a way to escape but instantly lost his balance when he saw a tall lady staring down at him with hungry eyes, as he fell, the ground drawing closer he prepared himself for impact and bruises he would get from making contact with the graveled ground, unfortunately was caught in the arms of the massive lady.

She pulled him into her embrace, welcoming his head between her massive twin peaks and sat on the ground, leaning against a statue behind her,

The others towered above Zayde, gazing down at him with their glowing eyes, hunger was evident in their eyes. But not for food, for something entirely different.

And unfortunately where he was, if anyone was to walk in they would only see shadows and think it would be rats, and he had no intention of shouting for help, he'd rather die being suffocating for once by ladies than cry for help like a kid.
