Xavier's eyes widened as he recognized the man who straightened as he approached them, his hand tight on the gun with him.

"Xavier," the old man cooed with a smooth voice. "We meet again."

"This could be our last meeting." He threatened.

"No, it won't be," the man waved his hand in the air disarmingly. Anyone that saw the scene wouldn't think he broke into the house after trying to kidnap someone.

Thomas entered shortly after and was struck by who was in the room with them—the man who murdered his whole family. He didn't gloss over the past memory but glanced at Xavier, whose hand was slightly trembling as he held the gun with one hand and Alessia's hand in his as she stood behind him.

He watched Alessia peer ahead of him and saw how her eyes widened. He noticed that Alessia's gaze at the man turned even more bitter and betrayed. It held a pain whose depth was beyond this world.
