Arthur stood next to Blaze and leaned closer, his forehead wrinkled. "That's not it. That's the same as Boss's car."
Marcus agreed . "Exactly! We believed it was you Boss, who got Her."
"We made a big mistake!" He added lowering his head.
Blaze squinted, his voice low and angry. "You believed? You saw my wife get into a car that looks like mine, and you didn't check it was me? You just guessed?"
Marcus's shoulders drooped under the blame. "I... I didn't think anything strange was happening, Boss. You often pick her up."
Blaze moved closer, his tall figure looming over Marcus. "Do you understand what you've done? What you missed? How lacking you're?" His words cut through the air like ice.
Arthur knowing they needed more details, stepped forward. "Go back in the video," he said. "Show it slower. Look for anything odd."
Marcus nodded , his hands shaking as he played the tape back. Everyone in the room held their breath while the video ran again, one frame at a time. This time, when the car drove off, the playback revealed something they hadn't noticed before-a figure sitting in the driving seat. The person was barely visible, their face obscured by shadows, but their presence was unmistakable.
Blaze's eyes got darker as he looked at the screen. "Who's that?" he snapped making everyone jump.
Marcus tried to zoom in on the footage, but he still couldn't tell who it was. "I... I'm not sure," Marcus said . "They must've been waiting in the car."
Arthur folded his arms looking serious. "Whoever it is, they used a car just like yours, Boss. This wasn't a coincidence. This was all planned."
Marcus spoke up breaking the tense quiet. "They tricked us," he said looking guilty. "They used the car to fool us into thinking it was you."
Blaze exhaled sharply, his fury now cold and calculated.
"Find that car. Track every camera it passed, every stop it made. I don't care what it takes."
"Yes, Boss!" Marcus said barking orders to his team right away.
Blaze turned to Arthur, his voice cold and authoritative.
"Get the police involved. Quietly. I don't want this leaking out. And pull up the GPS data for my actual car. Cross-check it with the footage."
Arthur nodded and left to make the calls. Blaze stood still, his fists tight, his mind racing with concern and anger. The thought of Savannah in that car, her fate unknown, ate at his very being.
"Whoever did this," he said under his breath, his voice low but full of unyielding resolve,
"they'll wish they never laid a hand on her."
The room hummed with urgent action, the staff working non-stop to find Savannah's location. Blaze's hard stare stayed locked on the screens, his determination growing stronger every moment.
Sometimes Later
Blaze was standing in the command center, the tension in the air thick enough it could suffocate. As the screens trailed raw footage plunging into the caterwauling winds, his eyes flicked across whats being displayed, dissecting each and every bit of info. His mind, a tempest of fury and terror, was fixated on a single target: Savannah.
While Marcus and his team feverishly traced the vehicle Savannah was taken in, Arthur returned to Blaze's side with updates
"The cops are standing by," Arthur said softly, knowing the edge his boss was on. "They're trying to keep this under wraps,as you said. They'll help if we've got a verifiable lead."
Blaze nodded tersely, jaw clenched. "I'm not waiting for them. Where's the GPS report?"
Arthur handed over a tablet. "Here's the data for your real car. Been in the company's parking lot all day.".
Blaze scanned the information, finding what he thought he would. To stage this, whoever had done so had gone to extraordinary lengths to replicate his vehicle. He sensed his anger rise but willed himself to concentrate.
"Boss!" Blaze's eyes followedone of the screens after Marcus voice rang out. "I've got something. The car she got into was picked up by traffic cameras about five miles from the restaurant."
Blaze moved towards the monitor, squinting as he examined the footage. The car glided through an intersection and then took a turn onto a quieter street.
"Keep it on the radar," Blaze commanded. "I want to track everything it does from here on out."
Marcus nodded, typing rapidly on the keyboard. "It looks like it took a private road about ten minutes later," he reported. "There aren't any public cameras around that spot, but it's near some old warehouse buildings."
Blaze's expression grew even more serious. "Get the blueprints for that section. I need to know all the entrances, exits, and any possible hiding places."
Arthur observed Blaze with both respect and worry. He was a man known for his attention to detail, but there was a new edge of urgency in his behavior. "Boss," Arthur said carefully, "Shouldn't we wait for backup before we head over there?"
Blaze turned to him, his gaze icy and firm.
"Do I look like I'm waiting? Get the team ready. I want every man armed and in position within ten minutes."
Arthur nodded, knowing better than to argue. He left to inform their security team while Blaze continued examining the blueprints Marcus had displayed.
As the team got ready to move, Blaze began to outline his strategy. "There are three access points to that warehouse district," he said, pointing to the map. "We'll block off the exits here and here." He jabbed at two locations on the screen. "I'll go in through the main entrance."
Arthur frowned. "Boss, that's risky. If this is a trap-"
Blaze cut him off with a sharp look.
"If it's a trap, I'll deal with it. Savannah's in there, and I'm not wasting another second."
Arthur swallowed his concerns and nodded. "Understood."
In just a few minutes, Blaze's security team was ready, a line of black SUVs parked outside the mansion. Blaze got into the first vehicle, with Arthur taking the seat next to him.
The ride to the warehouse area felt heavy with tension. The only noise was Blaze's fingers tapping on his knee, while his thoughts were consumed by the image of Savannah in that car.
As they got closer, Arthur broke the quiet. "Boss, we've got a live feed from a drone we sent ahead." He handed Blaze a tablet showing aerial footage of the warehouses. One building, larger than the others, had signs of activity-a faint light flickered in one of the windows.
"That's our target," Blaze said, his voice like steel. "No mistakes."
The convoy parked at a safe distance from the building. Blaze stepped out, his presence authoritative as he instructed the team. "Secure the area. No one goes in or out without my approval."
Arthur handed Blaze a radio. "We're set when you are."
Blaze nodded, his gaze locked on the warehouse. He adjusted his suit jacket, feeling the weight of the hidden weapon inside, a reminder of the dangers ahead. Taking a steadying breath, he walked toward the main entrance, each step deliberate.
"Savannah," he murmured softly, determination filling him. "I'm coming for you."
