Chapter 38: Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, Activate!

Priscilla turned her gaze to the spot where Graham had fallen, remaining silent.

"From this height… Wow! I can't even see the bottom! My apologies, my lady, but Sir Graham must have already perished..." Yae put on an adorable expression, as if she had not just stepped on Graham's shoulders, causing him to fall into the abyss.

Falling into a bottomless dark abyss would surely result in death...

...

"It doesn't matter. What I care about is why these people are attacking me." Priscilla retorted.

"Huh?" Yae was taken aback. So, she wasn't concerned about Graham?

No, it must be that she trusted Graham deeply, believing he would surely be safe.

"Hehe, you don't think you can stop us from fulfilling our mission to build our paradise, do you?" Edda suddenly interjected.

"Ah! They're not dead? Could they also be zombies?" Edda's sudden outburst surprised both Priscilla and Yae.

It seems the theory that parasites don't take over women's brains is false. Or perhaps, the parasite inside Edda Rayfast is special!

"Such an unpleasant way to put it. I'm just making a Bloodless Body move as I wish."

'Edda' extended her caterpillar-like chubby hand and roughly pulled out the kunai stuck in her forehead. As expected, no blood flowed.

With a rotting hole in her head, 'Edda' smirked sinisterly.

Naturally, the two fallen figures beside her also stood up, confirming they were indeed zombies!

The two zombies roared and lunged at Priscilla again, while Yae drew her kunai, pierced one's neck, and kicked the other away with a swift motion.

*Swish* *Swish* *Swish*

Two more kunai flew out, piercing through the chests of the two zombies.

Yae deliberately positioned herself in front of Priscilla, eyeing the towering Edda warily.

"My lady, be careful." She warned.

"Hmph, I also find that term, 'bloodless body', quite distasteful. From today onward, you shall refer to yourselves as 'zombies'!" Priscilla retorted again.

"Huh? My lady, is this really the time for that?" Yae forced a bitter smile, as the doors opened and zombies emerged from all directions!

The sheer number made Yae sigh, looking at her dwindling supply of kunai.

"No matter the situation, I remain true to myself. Compromise is not in my nature. That said, this situation is indeed beyond my expectations." Priscilla admitted.

"Hahaha!" Edda laughed even more triumphantly upon hearing this.

"Priscilla, you are truly the perfect candidate to manage our paradise!" she continued.

"Oh, I see." With that, Priscilla understood Edda's true intentions.

"What have you figured out?" Edda questioned in an amused tone.

"You deliberately waited until I was far from the mechanism before activating it, and now you're attacking me. Your goal is my body, isn't it?"

"Haha, correct. So, will you resist? To build our paradise, I've created countless laborers. Do you think you can defeat so many?"

"Refer to yourselves as 'zombies' you fool!" rebuked Priscilla.

"Hey hey, my lady, we're at a disadvantage here! What should we do now?" Yae struggled amidst the horde of zombies, her face grim as Priscilla continued to provoke them.

"Hmph. As my servant, you rely on me to devise a solution?" said Priscilla eyeing Yea.

"My apologies, but I'm out of ideas my lady..."

Priscilla nodded and said, "Then abandon me and escape on your own. Go find that man!"

"Ah? My lady, do you think Lord Graham is still alive?"

"Just do as I say. With my methods, I can clear a path for you to escape. Since you're receiving such favor from me, kneel and show your gratitude!"

"Uh... kneel? Ah!"

Yae reflexively knelt, and a red gem-like sword appeared above her head, sweeping through the surrounding zombies.

Priscilla had made her move!

Seeing this, Yae did not have time to complain and quickly slipped away.

As Yae left, Priscilla stopped swinging her radiant Yang Sword, as its brilliant light began to dim...

"As I thought, I can no longer continue to slay enemies..." She casually tossed the sword hilt into the air, where it vanished into the void. Priscilla crossed her arms and coldly stared at the still-smirking Edda.

"Don't let those filthy creatures touch my body. Treat me with the utmost respect! If your goal is my body, that is."

"Hehe. Don't worry, we won't let them damage such a beautiful body. With your beauty, grace, and supreme authority, you are the ideal manager for our paradise!"

Edda's chubby cheeks trembled with excitement, her repulsive appearance filling Priscilla with disgust and disdain.

Thus, Priscilla was escorted to the deepest part of the Rayfast mansion.

Of course, she still retained her freedom of movement.

The enemy's goal was to use the parasite to take over her body, and perhaps her entire life, so they wouldn't harm her physically.

Meanwhile...

Graham, using wind-attribute magic, slowly descended onto the ground.

More accurately, onto a ground piled with zombies.

The stench of decay assaulted him, making him nauseous!

"Roar!"

Sensing a living presence, the zombies began to awaken, reaching out to grab him!

"If you're dead, then stay dead and rest in peace! Fine, I'll send you on your way!"

'Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, activate!'

Drawing his sword, he charged into the horde of zombies...

Against a group of enemies, a sword was more effective, all he had to do was just sever their lines of death.

Any creature, once its line of death is cut, is doomed to destruction...
