Blinding Lights.

A troop of straglling abominations zip zapped throughout the forest, their dark lanky bodies in and out of existence. Seeking for humans to devour, they were imminent.

However there was something much more deadly, imminent on their tails.

"Shiny ebony asses, my favorite."

He was an umbrella scout. His light brown hair flowing with the breeze, red eyes glistening in focus. He wore a stylish armor memory, it was a cropped, off-white jacket with deep sky blue accents in its intricate patterns. It bore a comical sharp collar tethered by a deep sky blue scarf. It spiraled on his neck and to his shoulder turning to a long shoulder cape with a metal tip.

"Eyes on the target. Ready to strike."

He quickly dash silently among the trees worried to lose his prey. His communicator turned on with a female voice on the other side.

"Back up is near, let loose. Don't let them get near to the town."

"Affirmative."

'A delicious voice you have Horizon.'

From a sprinkle of white sparks a fan of daggers manifested in both his hands. Slowly a faint light emerged in each of them. He lunged at the teleporting abominations and threw each knife with perfect accuracy hitting 7 abominations directly and 5 as they appeared from thin air.

'Eazyy!'

A faint white light appeared from within his body his skin glowing and brimming with radiance. He flashed through the trees and appeared from one of his daggers. He grasped the weapon and stabbed the creature in between it's eyes leaving blood in the snow. He flashed again doing a similar killing move to the rest.

In the snowy peaks a lone sniper could be seen laying down observing a white flashing figure within the forest. Her hair lilac, flowing bangs diagonal, with the rest in a thick fluffy ponytail. In a soft purple tight bodysuit her curvaceous figure became.. evident..

"Master Horizon we have a priority target on our location. It's a fallen tyrant it's similar to the previous creature but emits a purple fuzz near it's wake. It governs a swarm of deadly teleporting violet worms. We are currently handling the worms in questions but I dont think we can kill the incoming titan without casualties. We'll leave our lives in your hand. Aim sharp ascended."

"Affirmative."

She put her communicator down and aimed her rifle. The sniper wasn't mundane it was a memory of the transcendent rank. It had a bark like texture of the aubergine color. It was long it's whole spanned 1 meter.

It's barrel split into two segments one above and bottom. Across these said segments bore small branches that protruded their tips facing the towards the inside of the barrel.

The edge of the barrel however had two long branches in an arch shape leaving space for the kill condition to come out. It's dark wood handle left space for her whole hand to grip it firmly, it's stock cut short and well rested in between her arms and chest.

She peered through a levitating series of circles. As she adjusted her heat relied vision towards the target her thermal view suddenly turned erratic and fuzzy. She dismissed one of the circles and continued her aim. Suddenly the fuzziness was gone instead replaced with a clear picture of the tyrant with its purple aura.

She squeezed the trigger and the intricate patterns in her body turned shining silver. Flowing from her body through the sniper's reserve. The weapon shone a faint silver light. The barrel's branches extended and straightened. Then in blinding light a silver beam shot towards her target resembling an inevitable comet. It connected and killed the tyrant with its surrounding militia of worms.

The spell gently whispered in her head

[You have slain a Fallen Tyrant]

She hummed a lullaby

"Shining from the outside. Dark within..."

"Amazing work! We'll take it from here."

Startled she said in a flustered voice

"Affirmative sir! Keep up the good work hotshot!"

'Hotshot?! What are you doing Silver Comet'

"Huh, okay.. Presume your original role support the others and keep an eye on the situation."

"Will do."

Transcendent Resh gazing a silver beam, he resumed governance and lead his sect to fortify and lockdown the orphanage.

In the end they killed off the remaining stragglers and contained the Nightmare gate with zero casualties and a few injured. How could they be when Resh was the one who lead them. With his precise commands and tips, the sect moved like a perfectly flowing puppet show, with Resh as the pupeteer, the puppets his members and viewers the abominations.

And he putted in some work by killing a few fallen devils and tyrants. Without even losing one hundredth of his essence.

He finished his work and left his members to defend the gate with an ascended woman named Jade in command.

He walked towards a camp near the town but still situated within the trees. The sun rised and approached a tent. It was there that the children we're kept safe..
