The group of Orphanage Staff finally arrived near Zero lifeless laying body. One of the Staff that got near first, moved his arm holding a torch closer to Zero body to get a closer look, Zero body was covered in bruises all around, his left leg covered with a nasty slash print, the blood already starting to dry up.
But that's not what Shocked the staff, it was when he moved a bit closer to see the Gorefiend in separated peices, Startled by the sight, he instinctly stepped back catching the attention of the rest of the group.
"Hey you good?" said another from the group.
"Uh.h.." stuttering a bit and finally speaking " come check this out."
The group thinking he was talking about Zero, only to be also shocked by the sight of the Gorefiend.
It wasn't just the sight that put the group on guard but also the strong rotton smell that hit there nostrils.
After a minute of silents enough to hear the surrounding crickets chirping in the darkness of the forest.
One of the Staff finally broke the silents " Hey check if Zero is okay." To the staff closest to Zero laying body.
Slowly the man crouched his legs and reached out his right arm to check for breathing, also noticing Zeros pale light brown skin, his dark black hair reflecting the moonlight sky and how skinny and lengthy this boy was.
After a few seconds "Yeah he's breathing."
"What are you waiting for carrie him up and bring him back!" Yelled an old man voice some steps behind the group.
Hearing the voice of the old man everyone finally got out of the trance, and quickly got there act together, as another helped the other man carrie Zero body as they made there way back to the Orphanage.
The majority of the group had already made there way back, with zero, while some stayed keeping the old man company.
One of the Staff that stayed questioned "Sir what are we going to do about this Gorefiend?"
"Call the nearest stationed IronWatchers in the area, let's head back, It's too dangerous to be out here in the dark." Responded the Old man.
Seven hours later...
Slowly opening his eyes, Zero glanced around, it was a familiar sight to Zero, he remembered once coming here when he fell and hurt his knee.
Knock knock
Startled a bit by the two knocks from the door, Zero wondered who it was as he muster some strength to sit up.
It was an old man, more specifically it was the director of the Orphanage.
"How are you feeling Zero?" said the Old Man as he slowly walked in closing the wooden door behind him.
" I feel better, but it still hurts and I feel weak."
Responded Zero softly.
Taking a deep breath Zero let it all out " Sir, I thought they were my friends but they tricked me! I followed them into the forest and I did what they said and they left me for dead!"
Dropping the smile and friendly look, the old man facial expression turned serious and deadly.
"Yeah I know." Said the old man
Before Zero could fully process the words the old man spoke further...
" I told them to do it."
*What!* Zero thought to himself shocked, before questioning what the old man said, the old man answered Zero question.
" I wanted you dead, but it seems I can't trust little kids with task these days.. tsk tsk.."
After those last words, the old man took his leave out the room.
* why..?* With a blank expression Zero just sat there. First his peers now the director of the Orphanage.
What did I do to deserve this thought Zero, the Boy was only four years old.
Back to the present...
Zero was in his room reading a book and suddenly a loud siren went off.
Warning Warning invasion of Gorefiends Evacuate! Evacuate!...
The same group of kids Ten, Eleven, and Thirteen came to Zero room right after the siren stopped.
Although Zero was a bit shooked from the Siren he wondered to himself why they came in.
After a closer look Zero saw all three of them were each griping a wooden stick. But before he could react, all three came charging towards Zero as they lifted there sticks and started hitting Zero with it.
All Zero could hear was the sound of sticks smashing onto his thin body, slowly Zero Started feeling the pain from the sticks.
After what seemed like forever to Zero, the sounds finally came to a stop, as the group of three headed out the room.
Zero layed there with his book in his hand, bruises all around from the hits of the sticks.
Zero finally lost it.
Quickly getting up, running around the room like a mad man hitting the wooden walls with his book, moving his body all around as if trying to break a bone. He lost it.
Finally Zero Screamed at the top of his lungs as loud as his Eight year old self could.
"DAMN!" "DAMN IT!" "DAMN IT ALL!"
After a few seconds Zero took a Deep breathe relaxing his used lungs a bit.
As much as Zero wanted to just lay and die, he had enough, fueled with revenge he made his way towards the wooden door exit as he placed his left hand onto the wooden knob and twisted it, and pushed the door open something stuck the door in its place only able to make a small gap through the door.
As the thought of what the siren had said enter his mind and what had just happened Zero concluded the old man was probably trying to kill him using the group of kids and locking him in his room as he waits for his death from the soon to come Gorefiends.
But Zero had enough, he'd be damned if this was going to stop him from taking his revenge, fueled with hatred, the Boy vowed to never again be the loser.
