The Clan Party

Elder's plan was rather simple actually, when your mind goes back to a time where you once used your psyia willingly or not your body begins to attune more to how you felt at that very moment.

What would happen if he was to cause an interference when he was in that state? Psyia was like another part of the body, just as his physical body would react, his psyia would react as well.

And that was all he needed to do.

Although it was still all theoretical, he already had all the justification he needed. How could he possibly not jump on board with the plan?

He grabbed the juiciest and possibly the most painful branch he could find and when he got close enough…

WHOOOM!

"KYAAAAAAAA!"

Luck screamed, grabbing his back with both hands and he thrashed in the cold stream.

He hopped out of the steam, murder on his mind as his back throbbed in pain. And then he paused looking at the masked figure.

Elder smiled from behind his mask.

"You felt it didn't you? Hold on to that feeling."

It took a little more time but after a while Luck was finally able to feel his flow of psyia at will, he could even concentrate his psyia to other parts of his body although whenever he did it the psyia would become unstable and eventually disperse.

Their training for that day ended and Luck went back to his room. He took a shower, this time a cold one throwing in a little bit of practice before retiring to bed.

It was around 6pm when Luck went to bed but later that night…

Tap tap

Luck rolled to the other side of the bed, grabbing the blanket tightly.

Tap tap

"Luck."

Luck covered his face with his pillow.

TAP TAP TAP!

Luck still did not wake up.

That was until the blanket was violently dragged off his body.

"Huh? Gimme, mmm."

Luck got up almost immediately sleepily reaching for his blanket.

"For God's sake, wake up!"

Luck and Chari got out of their rooms well dressed in elegant but free clothes that would give them ease of movement.

Today, the first party of the meeting of clans was holding, Luck could already hear the sound of instruments and people chattering. It had no doubt begun.

But there was one issue– they were not allowed to attend. Just like how their father seemed to cut them off from other things in the clan they were once again left at the sidelines.

Aliana wanted them to attend but apparently she could not convince their father. According to her he was being unreasonably stubborn. The excuse he gave her was that he wanted to keep the existence of the twins a secret for their own safety.

A load of bull.

So while other clan heirs were being introduced by their parents and enjoying the party Luck and Chari were to stay in their room and Sarah was to keep them company later.

So why then were they standing outside fully dressed?

Luck sleepily rubbed his eyes and yawned turning towards Chari, his gaze questioning. All Chari did was wake him up and tell him to get dressed, maybe it was because he was sleepy but he didn't even bother to ask.

Now his mind was getting clearer.

Chari smiled.

"Why don't we check out the party?"

"Huh?"

Something strange was definitely happening, normaly it would have been Luck suggesting these kind of things.

Luck closely observed Chari, walking around him in gentle strides and then placing a palm on his forehead he asked.

"Are you feeling okay?"

Chari slapped his hand away from his face.

"I'm perfect… I just want to have a little fun."

Then in a lower voice he said:

"Even if it's just for today."

'Just for today?'

Luck didn't miss the undertone but he chose to ignore.

"Why didn't you say so! I already have the route to the hall mapped out, we should be able to easily sneak in."

In truth Luck had already thought about sneaking into the party to steal glances at the esteemed guests, basically the leaders of all the top clans in this world. The information was definitely going to serve him well in the future.

But out of laziness he decided to postpone to the next party that would take place tomorrow. But the situation had changed.

"Actually, I have a route of my own. Let's go." Chari said and they both left, moving towards the sound of the music.

Chari's path was better than Luck had expected, they followed a series of paths in the estate trying to avoid as many people as they could. On occasions where they could not completely avoid someone they would stick to the shadows making it difficult for them to see their face.

It's not like the guests knew how they looked… but if someone were to casually talk about the identical twins they saw on the way to the party it would no doubt be troublesome.

The plan worked perfectly well and shortly after, they found themselves in the estate hall.

Soft melodious music filled the air. Across the hall was a plethora of instruments, drums, violins, pianos, acoustic guitars, flutes and the rest were in the hands of expert musicians.

The sound was wonderful, Luck almost danced to the beat but realizing himself he quickly stopped. But he could not stop nodding his head.

"This music, it hits different!"

Alaina did not fail to impress, the hall looked amazing. The room was filled with golden chairs and pristine white tables, each table had some drinks neatly arranged on them for the guests.

The tiles on the floor gleamed so much that it resembled glass, reflecting the lighting in the room.

The hall was filled with many waiters, the women were stunning all dressed in a pure black flowing gown while the men were in suits that had slightly longer coats.

Above the hall was perhaps the grandest thing in the room, a large Chandelier. It had a large glass orb in the middle depicting the moon with countless little orbs to signify the stars surrounding it. It bathed the whole room in an otherworldly glow.

At the sides of the hall were serving tables filled with more snacks and food than Luck had ever seen, and right next to it was a…

"Is that a chocolate fountain?" Chari asked, mirroring Luck's thoughts.

"I guess we know our next destination," Luck said. He was already walking forward.

Chari nodded, his eyes fixed on the fountain the entire time."
