Diary of the mentor ch30 operator.

"This shouldn't go unoticed!"

Sitting on at the highest peak of her ice structure Vana remarked whiles gazing upon the now ice waste land of her making.

Her gaze neutral pierced the distance searching for someone but no matter how far her sight reached all she saw was the barron wasteland of the death zone now covered in ice.

After surveying the distance a while she give up and relaxed her back on the frosty bark of the ice tree.

She was disappointed and she didn't try to hide it as she occasionally tapped her fingers on her thighs out of sheer irritation.

She had came to kill and she did kill but not who she had wanted.

She had neutralized the thousands of devils hidden within the facility and prevent a disaster and she was pretty proud of that but those devil's weren't her target and whiles she had a reason for letting them go,she was still disappointed.

"Even one would have been enough!" She whispered hitting the back head against the tree bark.

There was a crack on its surface upon impact but it quickly refromed back to it previous state in a matter of seconds.

"The cloaked one..."she muttered a lifeless look slowly creeping across her face.

"I have to kill her."

She didn't care how she was going to do it but she swore she will find that woman that harmed her student.

Today was a failure but that was today.

They will return and ones they do she will personal reap out their life's not with her spear but her barehands.

Luacs lingeried for a while before taking his gaze of the enormous ice tree visible within the horizon.

However, he couldn't help but threw glance at his new teammate who seemed relatively unfazed by what had just happened. His gaze was one of suspicion and uncertainty as his teammates returned his glances with a smile of her own.

"As I was saying my name is Park Ha-rin but you can call me Rin."

Lucas nobbed abliet a bit hesitant before throwing a question at her.

"Are you from Hosu by chance?"

"Ah...yes I was born in Hosu but I did leave most of my life in Avgon."

Her tone one of nostalgia answered his question.

After a while of awkwardly staring at Rin, he let out a quiet sigh.

"Its a pleasure to meet you Ha-rin!" He smiled and stretched out his hands, indicating a gesture for a handshake.

"The pleasure is mine, last son of twight!"

Grasping his hand she whispered so low only luacs could pick up what she said.

Contrary to here exception luacs remained unfazed after her words and replied.

"It's seighart!" He whispered back.

Nobbing in acceptance, Ha-rin let his hands and turned her gaze towards Ren.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too!" She commented gesturing for a handshake.

Ren shook his head and denied her request.

"Oh!" Perhaps hurt by his actions Ha-rin sighed and retracted her arm back.

She seemed lost for a while before she sudden rose of the counch.

"I'll be going then!" She muttered and prepared to leave.

" If you need anything don't hesitate to ask!"

With that she let the living room and went to her room all under the gaze of luacs and Ren.

One she had completely left, the duo relaxed their shoulder and let out a sigh of relief.

"What kind of monster did Frey give to us!" Lucas whispered towards Ren, who by now had completely relaxed by back on the sofa.

"I don't know!"He replied and glanced at Lucas with a grim expression.

"But I do know that woman is too strange for comfort!"

Lucas nobbed as his gaze ones again lingeried onto the ice tree in the distance.

With the crismon glow ommiting from the tree visible to him, he said," She is strange but I've lived with stranger ones!"

-----------------

He always found it hard to settle into new places and that night was no exception as he found it so hard to sleep so he decided to just cultivate.

Sitting on his new bed in a lotus posture he stared outside the balcony and gazed at the bureau in the distance.

It was night as the neon city light coated the gaint skyscaper like christmas decoration on a tree.

He blankly stared at the building for sometime before finally closing his eyes and began to concentrate on the mana around him.

The world was made of mana and the essence of cultivation requires one to assilmate this mana into the body over a period for time before finally assimilation it into one's core to refine it.

As his body sucked in the mana in the surrounding he felt a chilling sensation across his skin and through his bones and finally towards his core near his heart.

Now a second stage awakener his core had grown large and so had the require to advance in stage.

Depening on his routine he would reach the peak of the second stage in another six months and by age eighteen he would be a third stage awakener.

Months ago he would have been worried about trailing far behind his rival but not anymore.

His fright with Alicia strength his confidence that he was strong and also core ranks didn't matter in a fight.

Well it didnt matter but that was until the saint rank after all no matter how skilled one was only a saint could beat a saint the same was for transcendents.

As far as he knew that was a law, not a legal law but a natural law.

It didnt matter how strong a saint was or how skilled there were, they couldn't beat the weakest transcendents.

It might be possible if there was more than one saint but no saint could one on one a transcendant.

"I have a long way to go!" He whispered a cold breeze from the opened window brushed across his skin.

A jounery towards Godhood was step by step, he couldn't rush nor could he take shortcut.

As a matter of fact he felt rushing would rather affect his growth than make him strong.

Right now it wasn't strong he was seeking but a way to improve want he already hard.

He had a month or so before cyptic season officially began and he officially debuted as an Awakener.

And since his first encounter with a cpytic hadn't been the best, he sorted an alternate.

"Should I try perfecting Indra!" He mused.

Indra was his overdrive state.

Overdrive as a term was the assimilation of ones attributes within the body.

It was among the four stages of mana usage. The other three being;reinforcement, manifestation and domain.

In order of being hierarchy, reinforcement was the first whiles domain was the last, only achievable by becoming a transcendant.

With overdrive one engulfed their attribute intoor around their body to gain varied effects ranging from increased in physical stats, mental stats and even in rare cases achieving a new ability.

His overdrive [Indra] granted him a boost in speed and a much sharper strikes.

In short he not only hit faster in that state but also hit sharper.

He had only used it twice, one a year ago in Hosu against someone he wished he wouldn't remember and another against Alicia during their match six months ago.

It was strong but it had one flaw.

And that was his body couldn't quite handle it.

There was many factors for such,

One being the intensity of concentration lightning ripped his body to shred and the other being the speed he moved in that state was too much for his body.

Maybe if he was a saint he could have handled it but right now he couldn't quite depended on it since he now considered it a suicidal move.

Something he would only used when at deaths door.

As a matter of fact he only achieved overdrive this early in life because of his mimicry affinity.

How was a story for another day but let just say his mimicry was not just for body movements.

After a while of just sitting in a meditative posture, he sudden furrowed his brown's and got of his bed and quitely took a step into his balcony.

The night breeze to gently brushed his across his skin and hair as he took in a deep breath and relaxed his arms on the balcony rails.

"Such a soothing sight!" He remarked with a smile as he gazed up at the bright full moon hanging up in the skies.

"How long till our paths cross!"

As usually he was reminiscing about the days with his sister.

He was weak.

He wa naive.

He was young.

The funny part was that he was still all this three but difference between the him of them and the him of now was his sister.

He and his sister had now been separated.

It's been eight years since then but when every he so much as though of her, he felt empty.

"I miss you so much!"

His yes began to grow wet as he whispered at the moon.

People where selfish and he was no exception.

He had Frey, Alicia and Vana, who loved him greatly but he couldn't help but longed for more.

And that longness was finally being reunited with his sister.

"If you are dead....." He whispered tears falling down his cheeks,"....just give me a sign so I can just stop this pathetic action of mine!"

Ignoring the how illogical his words where, he hanged his head low as he cried his hearts out.

"Homesick!"

He felt a pat on his shoulder as he turned and saw Ren who had jumped from his balcony and onto his.

Glancing at him a bit surprised he quietly nobbed and made room for him on the balcony.

The elf climbing down from the rails give him a sadden smile and joined Lucas at the front as the two quietly gazed at the city in the distance.
