This is my bubble
I didn't stand on ceremony and straight up dumped the legendary grade energy trait into Maya catching her off guard.
"MMMM!~" she moaned in pleasure as the trait integrated itself with her already existent version.
Couldn't blame her either as I was pretty sure it felt like getting a full body massage by the most skilled hands in the galaxy. How could it not? She had until now had the base version of the [Energy reservoir] trait which must have been stifling though she probably didn't realize it. Now however her trait was a whole ass grade higher and so her pool of energy must have grown dramatically thus loosening the restrictions on her which was like weight being dropped off of her after so long.-
"You could have said something before dumping your load in me like that!" she said red faced and I snickered at the double meaning that she absolutely said on purpose.
"Don't act like you didn't love it. It's weight, it's.... girth." I said playing along.
"Jokes aside I take it you are feeling better?" she asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, the reason it was different this time was that your powers hold a few fragments of the universes functions and absorbing them felt like trying to swallow a planet. Integration should prove much smoother." I said and she looked astonished.
"What do you mean fragments of the functions of the universe!?" she exclaimed.
"[Gravity], [Time] and a part of [space] though not the entirety of it. Your powers confine a part of the universe within them that you can affect with these concepts. The catch is that you have to have the energy to fuel this as your biggest limitation." I explained calmly.
"That's AWESOME!" she said excitedly.
"It is, the upgrade you just got was the part of your powers that give you your energy reservoir that was in my copy of your powers that I stripped off." I said with a grin.
"Wait but how are you going to use my powers then?" she asked confused.
I chuckled "Did you forget I already have my own type of energy?" I asked rhetorically.
"Lifeforce right, but don't you need to get that from an external source?" she asked and I nodded.
"While this presents it's own challenges it also gives me a greater freedom with your powers than you have as I can theoretically just drain lifeforce without limit so long as I keep active." I said with a grin and her eyes widened as she understood what I meant.
She had a definite limit to her energy pool that while massive now was still a hard limit she couldn't pass without harming herself. I on the otherhand had no such issue with lifeforce as I could take and take until the entire universe dries up of the stuff if I wanted to and then keep going even, theoretically infinite energy.-
With this settled I decided that I wasn't going to put off integrating the trait at all and just because I could I integrated the other traits I had sitting in me. I barely even felt those traits fuse into the traits of the same kind I had as the siren trait took up my entire attention. My tattoos burned green and my eyes shone like two green suns as the trait began to fuse with my body. It didn't clash with my own siren powers but quietly fused together with it like it was a missing piece of a puzzle, slotting perfectly in place. -
When the trait snapped into place a wave of green energy pulsed from my body as I began floating in the air and two vibrant almost angelic looking wings of green energy formed from my back. On my body my tattoos began to change as the ones on my right side and chest grew denser while my left hand glowed as green tattoos began to appear there though they stopped at my elbow. For but a few moments I felt like I had reached out to wrap my hand around the entire universe but just as quick as it came the feeling vanished. The glow faded from my eyes and tattoos but didn't vanish as I floated down to gently land on the floor.-
"You good?" Maya asked concerned as she watched me cautiously.
"Better than ever." I said and a hint of my new power leaked from my voice.
"That's not ominous at all." she said sarcastically to hide her unease.
"Sorry about that. Looks like integrating siren traits leaves me in an intimidating state. Still though wings, seriously? It's like my powers are trying to make me look like a fucking divine being." I complained about the energy constructs on my back that still weren't going away.
"I don't know I think they look good on you, really say "get smited bitches!" you know what I mean?" she teased.
"I suppose they have their uses since I can fly with them out and I think use my powers better, needs testing though." I say with a shrug.
"What about MY powers?" she asked curiously.
I raise my left hand and make a grasping motion towards my air hockey table and a familiar purple energy bubble appears on it lifting it off the ground. I twirled the table and put pressure on it, restored it and then put it back on the floor gently. I noted that doing all that took me only a paltry 59 units of lifeforce which I suppose made sense as the stuff was an extremely potent type of energy, it had to be to do what my powers did.
"Everything's in working order from the feel of it and it's quite cheap too." I said with a grin.
"Wanna wrestle with your new powers?" Maya asked with a competitive glint in her eyes.
"Lets go to the sim room for that, it's bigger and more durable." I said with a predatory grin.
Once we got in the room she dashed over to the opposite side and I spoke into the air.
"Training field set three! No enemies!" I commanded and the room buzzed and holographic scenery appeared to match an urban environment.
"Start countdown from five!" I spoke and a large holographic number five appeared in mid air in the center of the room.

"BOOM!" the moment the countdown vanished we unleashed [Phaselock] at each other. The energies coalesced and slammed into each other in the center of the room between us violently. Winds kicked up, dragged towards the maelstrom of energy in the center of the room as we wrestled against each others power. -
The holographic surroundings crumbled and flew towards the energy clash like it was a blackhole devastating the urban environment. Her tattoos glowed bright blue as she used more and more power and my own glowed green but my energy was cheaper than hers so I started to overpower her as my side of the clash began to expand and encompass hers. I raised my right hand and with a flick of my wrist a second orb of energy appeared and trapped her within it. -
The initial clash ended in my victory as the first bubble of energy wrapped around my second and I won this wrestling match through my superior power and knowledge. Unlike me she hadn't read the books left by Dido so her usage of her powers was still unrefined but I had read those books and as a result quickly learnt to put that knowledge into practice. I smirked and beckoned the double layered bubble holding her towards me. She tried to fight back from within the bubble and she wasn't joking about living things being harder to hold but I just used more power to contain her despite her struggle.-
"I win." I said smugly and she pouted from within the bubble.
I let her out of the bubble and grimaced at the price of this clash, 12,582 units. Victory was a costly thing indeed it seems.
"Fuck! I have these powers my whole life and someone with them for a few minutes can use them better than me!" she complained annoyed by this fact.
"To be fair I also have a good amount of mental traits and an external understanding of your powers that you lack. The books on the subject were also quite helpful in rapidly improving my control over them." I said reassuringly.
"Yeah you do have a very bullshit unfair advantage over me, but I had hoped years of training and experience would have won me the match." she said with a sigh.
"So dinner before I leave for a long time?" I offered and she nodded eagerly.
The meal was quite plentiful as I had the machine make us a vast variety of dishes with meat being the biggest theme. Fried foods, pastas, mince pies, skewers, steaks, stir fries, burgers, pizza, stews, the works.-
Obviously I knew that there was no way we'd be able to eat all of this in one sitting but that was the point. I let Maya store it all away in her echo storage for her to eat later when she got hungry. Naturally the meal wasn't complete without a variety of deserts as well with her favorite by far being the chocolate strawberry icecream. -
"So this is it huh?" she said a little sad.
"Yeah, no fucking clue when I'll be able to return. Might be months or even years, depends on what I am supposed to do there." I said honestly.
"You better bring me back something cool!" she said sternly before leaving.
