Chapter 2: Stars

09/20/2012

-LUCAS-

"Stars, What’s so good about them?" She said as I stared at the starry sky.

How the hell should I know?

"You know, if you don't appreciate the light, you'll get lost." I said, my eyes fixed at the wide starry sky.

"Hmm, that's deep," said Therese as she took my hand. Meanwhile, Rio and Aedianno were heading toward us.

"Yo!" They said in unison and we did our usual fist bump greeting.

At this time of the night, we're gazing at the starry sky. It's because we are trying to find the 'Crux' constellation for our Earth Science Assignment. Well it's fine by me, but I have no such luck. I just can't understand the stars; they look all the same to me.

Life for me is monochrome

it's like hearing the metronome

Just a single color

Oh how bitter is the flavor

Meanwhile...

-OLIVIA-

"I found it!" Sandra claimed as she laughed triumphantly.

"Hmm? Where? Where? Where is it?" I kept on asking her about the 'Crux' constellation but it was like my eyes were searching for a needle in a haystack. I really don't understand stars.

"There! At the center, near the horizon." She proudly pointed at the starry sky. I followed the direction on where she just pointed; only leaving me even more clueless and dumbfounded. I thought to myself: What the heck?! They are all freaking stars! All of them are shining and twinkling brightly.

"How lucky, you finally found what you're looking for..." said Poor Jo Ginger who is sulking for some reason which I find odd. Usually, she would be the first one to ace the assignment.

"Jo Ginger, you know you can't fool us if something is bothering you so spill."

"I don't want to." She said sticking her tongue out.

"Okay... fine"

" You know what, girls? you're all rather peculiar today." Sandra said while eating her favorite food, Carbonara. Wait… since when and where did she pull out that Carbonara? Take out?

Ginger and I both stared at Sandra, waiting for her explanation.

"You" as she pointed at me, " You're as gloomy as ever and you" as she pointed at Ginger "You keep on sighing so much, you just might lose your luck."

"Ooh, I agree with Sandra. Come on, Jo, tell us, what's bothering you?" I worriedly asked

"I lost my phone!" Jo Ginger exclaimed, frustrated.

okay? so she lost her phone which means....

That's right, Jo Ginger mostly prefers to type her works instead of writing it then saving it to her phone but if she lost her phone...

She lost all her saved works.

Jo Ginger Villanueva

Aside from Cassandra, she’s one of my best friends. She’s a genius in literature and communication. Losing her phone explains her bad mood since she also writes on Penpad and she’s a very famous author there too. I just realized she might have known my pen name, Drip, because I read her works too. I am a supportive fan and best friend of hers. It’s so obvious she figured out Drip is me.

"How pitiful." We said to her as she showed her pissed face.

Dear Drip,

You know what it means to be an outcast? or maybe crestfallen? No, no one would ever understand it.

'If broken, the crack will never be repaired'

Sincerely Yours,
