We walked through this Paradise of her making. She was walking through the paved Road barefooted. Even her feet were made of white jade. Unblemished.
She started tending to the garden and asked for my help. I obliged gladly. From gathering herps to cutting weeds. Planting flowers and trimming bushes. I stole glances every now and then. She always caught me staring, smiling beautifully every time...
Time went by in a flash and dusk came.
"I guess that's it for today. Let us retreat home." Olivia said. Grasping my wrist once again. I can only go with. I couldn't say no.
We entered the huge palace. And entered the dining hall. There was a huge table and a small table. We sat at the small table. Olivia clapped her hands and constructs appeared. They were like mannequins made of white marble with a blue stone embedded in their abdomen. They wore wigs and had facial features.
The Two mannequin maids brought dishes of all kinds. Meat and chicken. Soups and salads. Bread of different kinds. It was a feast for 5 in my past world. But in this cultivation world this would seem humble.
"This is the first time I've ever seen constructs like these! They seem so life like!" I asked While checking the intricacies of the design. They were decorated with gold and gems.
"Just some minor Soul technique. Let's dig in, shall we?" Olivia said.
While we ate, I started talking with her about these constructs. How to make them and made them tick.
"You need to be at least in the Crescent Bloom Realm to be able to imbue a little of your Soul energy into the spirit stone embedded. After that you start programming them to listen to your command. Since they have a silver of your Soul, they will obey all your commands and start doing chores and all kinds of menial work you ever need from them. "
" Crescent Bloom? What stage is that? "
" The fourth stage. "She simply answered.
" What stage are you in? " I asked. Interested to know everything about her.
" I'm in a very far Realm that you wouldn't even believe. The main reason Why my father imprisoned me here. " She said While eating.
" He was afraid of you huh. Coward..." I said and started eating again.
" Hehehe~ Coward indeed..."
After we finished eating. And the constructs maids cleaned the table. I looked at her eyes with unabashed Determination.
" Can you please teach me how to cultivate the Soul? I would be honored to study under you."
"Hmmm..." Olivia started thinking. Taking on a thinkers pose. She looked adorable While furrowing her brows.
"Why not? All I have is time anyways. Taking in a disciple would be fun, I think! You'll have to call me master from here on. Agreed?"
"Disciple greets Mistress!" I bowed slightly.
I looked up and saw her frowning. "Why didn't you call me master Instead?"
I scatched my head "Because saying master will remind of those old fogeys I hate so much. And you're a woman so it's better this way. For me at least."
She giggled softly "Fine. But you must give me the same respect those old fogeys demand. Are we clear?"
"Crystal". I smiled from ear to ear.
We then walked to the giant library. Four stories tall shelves filled to the brim with books and Scrolls. I looked in awe. The library at home pales in comparison to the sheer volume of knowledge stored here. We walked to a corner and Olivia picked up a scroll. She handed it to me.
"This will guide you to unlocking the second Realm of Soul cultivation. The Chrysalis Soul Realm. Every living being start with a Nascent Soul. Waiting to form the nucleus of the Soul. Start by comprehending this scroll."
I took the scroll in hand. Then went to a cultivation room. There was a formation that Olivia said will help with my Soul cultivation. I sat cross legged and started reading. I read it a few more times to memorize the intricacies of the technique.
It says that a Soul is the amalgamation of a person's will and memories. What he is. What he was. What he will be. A person with high Soul Cultivation can suppress weaker being with their aura alone. Can seal someone cultivation and enslave them as well by using a Soul Slave Seal.
I started reciting the manual in my mind. The place where my Soul resides. With higher Soul Cultivation a person's information processing speed and memory capacity increases with every breakthrough. Making them more intelligent and cunning.
I started gathering Spirit Qi in my sorroundings, directing it to my brain. There, my soul dantian that is dormant, resides.
The formation helped immensely in gathering Spirit Qi, I started to breath in using my Harmonious Serenity breathing technique, finding it helping me immensely in regulating the flood of Spirit Qi into my dormant Dantian.
I was in a deep meditative state.
Something clicked in my mind.
Then, everything went black.

Starting my life alone in the city is so exciting! The amount of people and cars here are mind boggling! In my home village, the most I can see were old wrecks of cars that the village people inherited from their grandfathers. And, the occasional bus that comes once a week. I was on one such bus.
Man they were poor!
I arrived at the outskirts of the city with my luggage. Its gonna take sometimes till the next bus arrives. Only seventeen and I ran from home... At least I'll be independent and not burden my uncle anymore. Constant nagging and beating for my mediocre grades made me lose it and I ran away.
Bus after bus and I arrived at the apartment Complex. There, I walked up the stairs to second floor.
One room with a kitchen and a bathroom. All I ever need really. I walked to my room when I saw this woman at the end of the hallway. Brown hair and petite figure with cigarette in hand. She was leaning on the balcony. Taking in sunlight.
"Hey sunshine. Smoking kills you know?" I cringed a little.
She only spared me a glance. Then took in a long puff of smoke and exhaled it. Then she dropped the cigarette and stomped it.
"I know. I'm a nurse." she said While smirking at me. I was in awe. I never saw such a cute and beautiful woman as her. Her olive eyes staring at me lazily. Bags under her eyes that didn't make her lose her charm. The white night gown she wore were long and loose. Making her look like a fairy.
"What is it? Cat got your tongue?"
I woke from my reverie and looked away. Scratching my head. Blushing While at it.
"Haha no I can talk fine. By the way, I'm Joe. I moved to room 207. Nice to meet you."
She extended her small hand at me. "I live next to you, neighbor. The name is Mary."
