"Will you stop staring at the ring?" Aiden asked with a groan, setting his soup spoon down with an exaggerated shake of his head his expression a mixture of exasperation and amusement.
Serena grinned, utterly unrepentant, as she reached across the table to take his hand in hers. Without hesitation, she brought his fingers to her lips and pressed a playful kiss on his knuckles. "It's not the ring I'm staring at," she said, her voice teasing as her gaze flicked up to meet his. "It's your hand. It looks good wearing my ring. You've gor sexy hands."
Aiden raised an eyebrow at her cheeky tone, turning his hand over to catch her fingers before she could pull away. His grip was firm yet gentle, his thumb brushing lightly over her knuckles as his lips twitched into a small smirk. "Well, if my hand looks so good with your placeholder ring on it," he quipped, leaning slightly closer, "doesn't that mean we should start planning our wedding?"
