„We must assure that nothing goes wrong. It's the task our Almighty Lord Creator gave us!"

The female Angel who was summoned first by Ezequiel spoke. She has been given the command for this operation, since she is the strongest. Even stronger than the male Angel who focused more on Alchemy instead.

Valley was between two cliffs. The one on the right aside was about 10 meters higher than the one on the left. The passage between the two was 20 meter wide. This ensured that the goblins who passed through here would be grouped up and easily hit by their AOE attacks.

At the moment 21 out of 76 Angels had reached the Foundation Establishment Stage. The rest were all in the Energy Refinement, except for the ones who were only summoned today.

They laid in ambush on top of the cliffs. The one with the higher cultivation laid on the higher cliffs as well.

Both sides of the cliff had the 5-Elements Concealment Array set up, a high Spiritual Grade array that could help them cover not only their bodies but also all energy and sound they emitted. This meant that they could even speak out loud.

Before they set off, Ezequiel had once again given them a buff. This time he spent 20 million Faith Points on the Foundation Establishment and 5 Million on the Energy Refinement Angels.

The reason for that is that higher level followers need more Faith Energy to gain the same blessing as ones of lower level.

Since he didn't condense his divinity yet he had gained a random blessing again, but sadly he didn't have as much luck as the last time. The blessing he gained was the „Blessing of breeze" which increased movement speed by 30%.

Though this would usually be very good, Ezequiel had hoped for something that boosted strength since his Angels were very fast to begin with. He didn't mind much though. They would even be able to win without a blessing.

Additionally, due to the innate talent „May the Lord be with me" all Angels actually gained a 60% increase in movement speed. This was very useful as well since they would be able to dodge more of the attacks that the low-level goblins might throw at them from the ground.

After waiting in the same position for several hours, the Angels with high cultivation could already see the army appear on the horizon. As they saw the extent of the army the leading Angel started to get slightly worried, but quickly regained her bearing.

„It seems like we underestimated how big of a threat we are to them. They actually mobilized their entire army just for us. But it doesn't matter. We have more Sea Expansion Realm combat power than them, so that means we can beat them. Just stick to the plan and give your all. FOR THE CREATOR!"

„FOR THE CREATOR!"

As she roared the last part of her speech, the rest of the Angels also answered with a fighting scream of their own. Their desire to slaughter their enemy began to rise and they were bubbling with fighting intent.

Luckily they didn't have to wait for long until the enemy arrived. After the goblins passed about halfway through the valley and were right below the majority of the Angels, the goblin king suddenly noticed something.

But it was to late.

The leading Angel gave the signal for them to start attacking and all the Angels started singing praises about Ezequiel.

„The Lord said let there be light, so we will illuminate the darkness of this valley with our attacks!"

„The Creator commanded us to follow and believe in him, so we shall punish those who don't!"

„Evil heretics who have lost their faith shall enter the afterlife to repent for their sins!"

Ominous battle chants were sung by divine voices at the same time as the sky was filled with blades of light.

The chants actually had two functions. They strengthened the conviction of the Angels and they actually activiated another of their special talents. „Voice of Conviction" had the ability to increase the Angels' battle power if they sing praises about their Lord.

This means that those words actually increased the combat power of Angels directly. Every time a legion of Angels fought, the battlefield would sound like the most beautiful concert in existence.

As the swords of light, which were the effect of the ability „Extreme Light Sword Rain", fell down, thousands of goblins perished.

The ones on the floor were usually killed by a single sword strike. The Foundation Establishment Realm goblins on the other hand were either wounded critically or got away with some superficial injuries. Depending on how quick they reacted. Some unlucky ones who were targeted by Angels with the same cultivation Level died instantly.

High up in the sky, each Sea Expansion Realm goblin was targeted by a gigantic light blade instead of many small ones. These were hard to dodge and the majority of goblins had to confront them head-on. Most of the time this lead to them gaining a deep wound or even losing a limb.

Afterwards every single one of them was confronted by an Angel in the Foundation Eatablisbment Realm. Since there were 21 of them, one Angel went to slaughter the cultivators below them instead.

As each Angel looked for an opponent, the one that confronted the king head-on wasn't actually the female Angel who led the operation. She was actually the one to flow down to ensure that everything happened smoothly.

The one who confronted the King instead, was the male Angel of Death. He had the highest one on one fighting strength with the help of his affinity to Death and could easily handle the strong goblin. The female Angel of death who had almost identical fighting power confronted the second strongest goblin in the meanwhile.

„May the Lord forgive you for your sins after I have sent you to the afterlife, for he has created me different from my fellow Angels to fulfill this task."

Karok, the goblin king, was now sure that these unknown beings before them were outsiders. According to the records of the past, the invaders back then also spoke of a Lord. Though they looked different from what was described, they must have the same goal.

At the same time, the Angel of Death attacked. His sword, which was forged by an Angel blacksmith, took on a pitch-black color the moment he confronted the king.

This was the result of an ability called „Blade of Decay" and was a result of the Decay that fell under the domain of death. It would allow him to quickly disintegrate all attacks of his opponent and even their weapon or body parts the blade got into contact with.

Karok on the other hand chose a different style of attack and instead condensed a large fireball, about five times the diameter he condensed inside the throne room.

As the fireball flew forwards and clashed with the sword, something unexpected for both sides happened.

As the sword started cutting through the fireball, the flaming mass began to loose size. The same happened with the black coating though, until both eventually vanished into nothingness.

The face of the Angel of Death got even more serious at this moment. If that was even possible, considering how important fighting for their Lord was for each Angel.

„So you actually understand intent. It seems like you are really the greatest warrior not just this kingdom, but even this world has to offer."
