CHAPTER EIGHT
"Prince Luca, because of your stubbornness she will die" with a blink face, he replied, "you think so"
The door push open together with two men fall to the floor, their face is cover in blood. Lady Hazel turn seeing two persons step into the room.
"Liam, you came in time"
Lady Hazel eyes went from the two dead men in front of her to Mila standing next to Liam. She stand up "so you're walking with Prince Luca to destroy me"
"Your destination was plan by me from the moment I find out you killed my parents."
"I should have killed you alongside with your parents if I have know you will be trouble"
"Today am here to avenge my parents dead and save those innocent girls from you"
"Mila, you know me, anyone that betray me won't leave here alive"
"Keep those words to yourself. Don't waste your time calling your men or fighting because all of them are dead and your turn is now"
Lady Hazel immediately started coughing,"M-i-l-a what h-ave y-o-u done" she fall to the ground vomiting blood and pass out with her eyes wide open. Liam walk to her and touch her chest,"she is dead"
Prince Luca stand up from the seat, walk to Mila,"do you think by killing her will bring back your parents or stop this wicked act"
Mila replied with full confidence"It will continue but am happy, those innocent girls are save and I am free. As for my other sisters, is it their choice to continue or start a new life. My parents spirits can rest in peace"
Prince Luca put his hand on her shoulder, "you did well" then she smile, "thank you. Let me take you to see the girls"
Prince Luca and Liam follow Mila into the room where the girls are kept. He eyes went from one girl to another. They're ten in number.
"Liam will follow you, sending the girls back to their parents. Take this, it will help you in your new journey" Mila open the bag then fall on her knees, the girls did same as they all bowed to him,"thank you for saving all of us, I will never forget your kindness" they said and they all stand up.
Maya look at Prince Luca steadily and smile.He save them all inclucling me, thank you.
Mila took the girls into the carriage while Liam sit in front,"Liam you will meet me at Nanny Linda house." He hit the horses gently and they move together pushing the carriage forward. Maya watch as they leave their sight.
"Prince Luca" she said then she turn seeing Prince Luca on the ground, she hush to him, lift him up to rest on her lap,"Prince Luca, Prince Luca, open your eyes" hitting his face. Her hand touch his hand. Blood! He is injury. She smell the blood,"poison!"
Maya gently carry prince Luca and place him under the tree. She pull the plant close to her from the root, uses the light from the moon and the stars to see what she is doing. She pluck the leaves off the stalk, cut it into pieces and rub it in between her palms then a blue liquid came out and drop into Prince Luca wound. She pull her red ribbon out of her hair and tied it around his left hand together with the granded leaves. Maya did same thing with the other leaves, he open his mouth and drop the medicine inside, rub the it on his nose, under his nose and forehead, she place it under his nose. Maya pull off the red gown from her body and spread it on prince Luca body only his face was visible. She is left with her inner dress which is the cloth she wore from the palace, the dress on Prince Luca is the one from the inn.
Maya examine his face closely as she smile, "tomorrow you will be okay" Maya lie down close to him and slept off.
The sound of birds singing woke Maya up as the sunlight hit her eyes, "it's morning" then strench her body and the red dress fall off, she look steadily at the red gown then she turn to her side,"where is Prince Luca?" She slowly stand up and fold the dress and place it close to the tree. Maya follow the road to a big river.
She was surprised to see Prince Luca in the river, his upper body is in the surface, he is naked. Maya close her eyes and ran back to the tree. I saw what I should not has seen.
"You are awoke" Prince Luca said walking toward her, she can see through his dress. Maya eyes scan through the dress as Prince Luca is walking to her, she could feel her heartbeat. He is coming? What should I do?
"Am I too hot for you" Maya swallow her saliva and turn to back him,"I didn't see anything" Prince turn her to face him,"am all dress up, there is no need to imaginary anything about my body"
So fast. Did he know? Is my action obvious? "Your action is a proof, you saw me"
"I didn't see anything..." Prince Luca cut her off by pulling Maya to himself,"don't lie to me, you saw my body" Maya immediately pull from the closeness,"yes, I saw you" she yelled out.
A subtle smile fall on his face, "you're cute when angry"
Cute! Do I look cute?
"Thank you for saving me yesterday" Maya look at his arm, her red ribbon is still there.
Why am I smiling, is just an appreciation for my help.
A black horse from no where ran into the scene to Prince Luca. "Good boy" he said scratching the body of the horse.
"What is his name?"
"Glitter" he said
"Glitter" Maya said. She is about to touch itp but she hesitated.
"Don't be scare" then pull her hand to touch Glitter neck. Glitter tilt his head to the side to look at Maya. She smile, "he like me" rubbing his head and ears.
"Mount her"
"I can't" Maya replied. Prince Luca sigh then carry Maya to sit up straight and tall,"relax your back" he help Maya set her foot in each stirrup.
Prince Luca set his left foot on the stirrup and sit up straight and put his right foot on the right stirrup, relax his back and hold his balance. "Hold me" he said and Maya place her hands around his stomach and place her head on his back to be comfortable.
He gentle squeeze Glitter as it begin to walk.
Maya close her eyes as Glitter begin to run.
Maya slowly open her eyes seeing Prince Luca staring at her,"get off" he said.
"We have reach our destination, so fast" she said struggling to come down then finally jump down.
Maya eyes went to the building in front of her,"Prince Luca is this the place?"
Prince Luca walk pass her to the gate and knock on it, a middle age woman came out then smile seeing Prince Luca and hug him,"you have grow more handsome since I left you"
"Four years ago, it was difficult when you left"
"What about now?"
"I have learned to stay without you"
Nanny Linda pet his forehead, "am happy you have grown mature in your appearance and thought but you're still my son"
"My second mother"
"Who is she?" She asked seeing Maya standing close to Glitter.
"She is Maya Otto, my personal maid" Maya bowed as a sign of respect.
"Come closer, my child" Maya walk to Nanny Linda,"you must have read the book right?"
Maya glance at Prince Luca as she shake her head,"I took it away from her" Prince Luca replied.
Nanny Linda laugh it off,"come in" she said.
Linda glance at Prince Luca bringing in Glitter, "it would be difficult for you to know him without the guide but study him like a book and you will understand him.
Maya look intently at Prince Luca brushing Glitter body.
