Well, it’s the story of Cyrus Miravine, a 14-year-old boy who chose to follow his family’s legacy and become a shaman. This decision was made four years before the first chapter begins, so by the time the story starts, he’s already on his path. Who is Cyrus Miravine? Cyrus is an awkward, introverted teenager who genuinely prefers talking to the dead over the living. He’s not overly childish, but don’t mistake him for an edgelord either—he’s just socially awkward. His quiet and introspective nature often leaves him misunderstood, but there’s much more to him than meets the eye. Why shamans? I’ve always loved the concept of shamans, and my main inspiration came from Shaman King by Hiroyuki Takei. Some of the characters in The Shaman Way are even inspired by his work. At the same time, the story draws heavily from Buddhist cosmology, culture, and philosophy. Hardcore Buddhism enthusiasts might even be able to predict some plot twists and outcomes based on the lore woven into the story! What can you expect from The Shaman Way? The writing is influenced by iconic works like Shaman King, Bleach, and Shadow Slave by G3. However, I promise that The Shaman Way has its own unique flavor and identity. While Cyrus will grow in power over time, he won’t immediately become overpowered. By the end of the story, he’ll rank among the top 10 strongest characters, but not the top 5. Is there romance? Yes, there’s romance, but no harem. Cyrus will have eyes for only one girl throughout the entire story. What about the power system? The power system is progressive and deeply tied to the narrative, but it won’t be fully introduced until Volume Two. I can’t reveal much without spoilers, but trust me—it’s worth the wait! How often do I upload? I’ll be honest: I’m not the most consistent author. Sometimes, I’ll upload one chapter a day; other times, you might get two or three chapters in a day.
