The gathering storm

(Amelia)

I know it was foolish to venture into the forest to speak with an unknown entity, but the vision felt so real that I needed to understand its meaning.

I didn't want Damien or anyone else to discover my plans, so I had to use a spell to get me there without anyone noticing.

After chanting the spell, I found myself in the deepest parts of the forest, awaiting the figure that told me to meet them there.

It was far from my mind that this was a trap. I knew that I should have been more skeptical, but I allowed my curiosity to get the better of me.

I made my way through the dense underbrush, the crunch of leaves and snapping twigs underfoot the only sounds in the otherwise eerily silent forest.

The further I ventured, the more the trees seemed to close in around me, their branches forming a tangled web overhead that blocked out the light. My heart pounded in my chest, a mix of fear and anticipation driving me forward.
