(Amelia)
For the next couple of hours, we spent training, but I had gotten weak, so I had to stop and rest. My body wasn't used to this intensity anymore, not after everything that had happened. While I was sitting under a tree, trying to regain my strength, I couldn't stop myself from staring at Damien, who was still training.
But this time, he was shirtless.
His muscles rippled with each movement, I felt my heart quicken, and without meaning to, I clenched my legs together. The heat rushed through me, spreading like wildfire. I forced myself to tear my eyes away, but they kept drifting back to him, betraying me.
It wasn't just the way he looked it was the way he moved. Fluid, powerful, like he was in complete control of every single part of himself. And maybe, deep down, that's what drew me in. I'd seen Damien in his moments of vulnerability, in pain and fear, just as much as I'd seen him strong and determined. But here… here he was invincible.
