"Fear"-Asher-Akira

For what seemed like a long stretch of time, no one moved. We all just stood their and stared. Finally, the blue haired boy, dropped down from the railing above us, performing multiple front flips, before landing like a superhero directly in front of Mina. He stood up, staring at the two girls, eye's raving over their bodies hungrily. Then he walked forward, pressing Hikaru against the railing. Hikaru squirmed uncomfortably. She was good with almost any social interaction, but this was just bordering assault.

The boy grabbed her by the chin, forcing her to look up at him. "You know, you're a very pretty young lady." He said, his eyes looking over every part of her body.

"Uhh, umm, thanks, I guess." Hikaru said, trying to get away from the blue haired kid. He closed in on her even more, his hands beginning to reach for her waist. That was as far as he got because right then me and Liam had grabbed both of his arms. He eye's snapped backwards to look at us, a look of contempt and anger in his blazing eye's. He spun around on both of us, forcing me and Liam to release our grip on his arm.

"I'd much rather deal with these two fine young ladies, but if you insist on getting in my way, I'll gladly rip you two a new one." In the next moment his leg was inches away from my face. I ducked down, and into a leg sweep, which the blue haired boy jumped over, and threw a right hook. I dodged it, then grabbed his arm, moving into a shoulder through. Just before I threw him straight into the ground though, he shot his leg out and it completely stopped his fall. He didn't even show any signs of being in pain or shock either. He placed his other leg down on the ground and pivoted turning around to face me and pulling me towards him. He aimed a punch straight to my gut. I caught it with my hand, but it definitely hurt more than I expected. With both of my hands comprised I pulled him in closer and aimed a knee straight for his gut. It connected, and he recoiled, coughing out saliva reflexively.

I followed it up quickly with a right hook, straight to his face, with a little more intent to hurt behind it then any of my other blows. He reeled backwards, hitting the edge of the railing, nearly taking a tumble down four floors. He leaned against the railing breathing heavily, a large purple bruise on his left cheek, but he didn't act particularly hurt. In fact, he just wiped his lips and smiled. "Okay, you're pretty good. I didn't expect there to be anyone who could best me in a physical encounter before." He pushed off of the railing and began to walk in the direction of the stairs, passing by me, then Liam. He lingered by Hikaru and Mina for a few seconds. "You two babes let me know if you ever wanna have, 'a good time." With that, he walked down the stairs.

None of us dared to move even an inch until we heard his heavy footsteps begin to fade away. Hikaru deflated, finally able to relax, now that the blue haired creep was gone. I noticed that the tension and Liam's body had also relaxed. Mina just looked like she wanted to kill someone. Which was pretty ironic considering the situation we were in. Finally I decided to say something, seeing as no one else was really willing to say anything.

"So i guess it's time we head our separate ways. We can finish our conversation tomorrow, with the rest of the class." With that, Mina and Liam went on their own separate way's while me and Hikaru walked to our dorms. Just as I was about to enter my room Hikaru reached out to me. She had a look of shame on her face and her cheeks were red.

"Listen, I'm sorry about what happened just now. I just, froze up and didn't know what to do, and you had to get in a fight on my behalf. I just hate fighting an-" I stopped her right there.

"Don't worry about it." I said, trying to reassure her. "I'm always happy to help. Besides, right now the only people we can trust our are other classmates." I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Well OK then. See you tomorrow I guess. " I nodded and headed into my dorm, locking the door behind me. I threw my bag down and flopped onto my bed, thinking to myself, what the hell have I gotten myself into.

   * * *

If there's one feeling that I, Akira Kuroyami, have never experienced in my entire life, it is the fear of losing a fight. No matter how stressful the situation is, nor how bad the odds are, I have never one feared that I would actually lose. I believed that the only way to rule effectively is through power and violence. Some of the must successful leaders of all time ruled through domination over their subjects. If you tower over someone so overwhelmingly much, it leaves no room for them to defy you. No room for rebellion or anything else of that matter because they're spirits are crushed as they realize the overwhelming power difference between you and them. Power is the only way to rule. That's why I've never been scared to lose a fight once in my entire life. I know that the gap between me and other people is so large it's amusing.

But today, against that white haired kid, I felt something. It wasn't fear, or anything o of that matter per say, but it was a small twinge deep in my gut that got my heart racing. It felt amazing and terrible at the same time, a completely indescribable feeling. I dumped a bunch of water on my head, and then looked into the mirror, analyzing the bruise on my left cheek. It was a dark bluish-purple and it was almost as large as a baseball. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket, not even bothering to try my hands off.

I turned it on and opened up the KLP app, scrolling through it until I found the group of people I was looking for. The blonde haired girl, Hikura Mei, the gingrer boy, Liam, and the black haired girl, Mina. They were all apart of the same class and so was that white haired boy.

Asher.

That was it.

He didn't have a last name.

I studied his picture. He had long white hair that stopped around his ears, completely covering eye's making it impossibly for me to gauge what kind of guy he was. He was good in a fight, athletic, and he seems pretty laid back. He made me feel something completely indescribable and I felt like I had to pay him back.

And I knew just the way.
