Chapter 49: The Aftermath

Third Person POV

Kane drops Sebastian’s head and body to the ground as Rosette gets up, licking her healing wounds clean. He allows Thaddeus to have control as his shared body rushes to her. Thaddeus looks her over, only for her to nudge him gently as she goes towards the large group standing in a circle around something. The group, noticing her coming towards them, moves out of her way. He follows behind her, smelling the blood coming from the center of the circle.

Rosette’s able to see her grandfathers, Thaddeus’ parents, Zachary and the Council of Elders surrounding a body. She pushes through them and sees her dad, in his human form, bleeding out heavily, not healing as fast as everyone else due to him being a Rogue. Rosette, not caring that she’ll be naked, shifts back to her human form and tries to put pressure where Rayleigh is bleeding from. Thaddeus, coming up behind her, pulls her back and up into his arms.
