Chapter 23: I Want to Kill

Jiang Yuan had just come downstairs, leading his team to investigate the case. He saw Fang Hongyan pointing at Yang Huawei, saying something. Noticing the two pistols hanging on Fang Hongyan's sexy legs, Jiang Yuan, an experienced police officer, immediately recognized them as military-issue Type 92 pistols, not the standard six-shot revolvers issued to the police.

Jiang Yuan's heart sank. He told his subordinates to wait inside while he adjusted his clothes and walked out briskly. He saluted Fang Hongyan, who, weakened from vomiting, returned the salute feebly, reached into her bosom as if plunging her hand into her ample chest, and threw her credentials to Jiang Yuan.

"Binhai City Special Task Force, investigating a case. Please cooperate," Fang Hongyan said weakly, hanging onto Yang Huawei. Yang Huawei frowned, shook his head, and lifted Fang Hongyan again, who didn't resist and let him carry her.

"Special Task Force? Investigating what? Sorry, we haven't heard of any Special Task Force," Jiang Yuan shook his head. He didn't know the name, but even if he did, he had to pretend not to.

"Enough nonsense," Fang Hongyan's hand moved like lightning, snatching back her credentials. "Go find your chief; he knows," she said irritably, putting her credentials away.

"Sorry, the chief is out of town," Jiang Yuan shook his head. Being close to Zhu Xuewen, Jiang Yuan knew about the Special Task Force but couldn't let them see the chief now.

"Forget it. If they don't cooperate, we'll investigate ourselves. The sooner we finish, the sooner we go back. I'll take the train home," Fang Hongyan said to Yang Huawei.

"You can't leave. I suspect you're impersonating government officials and carrying unauthorized firearms. You must be detained for 48 hours, at least until we verify everything," Jiang Yuan, sweating, gambled that the Special Task Force wouldn't escalate things and would cooperate. He waved his hand, and a dozen detectives ran out, drawing their guns at Fang Hongyan and Yang Huawei.

"Draw your guns? You dare draw guns in front of him? And with these lousy revolvers?" Fang Hongyan widened her eyes. With her speed, she didn't dare play with guns in front of Yang Huawei, and these policemen were courting death.

"Drop your weapons immediately, or you'll be shot for resisting arrest," Jiang Yuan, sweating more, bet on the Special Task Force not making things worse, only wanting to stall them. However, he met Yang Huawei, a soldier who hated being threatened with weapons. Jiang Yuan was doomed to lose.

"Something serious must have happened here. Iron Man, handle them. Try not to kill anyone, but if you must, three or five deaths are acceptable," Fang Hongyan said, her head aching.

Yang Huawei moved, walking in a circle, using only two fingers. He walked around, and the dozen detectives fell, clutching their fractured wrists. Two had their wrists broken more severely.

"You..." Jiang Yuan was shocked, now convinced they were from the Special Task Force.

"They won't cooperate. Let's take them down and find the documents ourselves," Fang Hongyan, eyes sparkling, loved chaos. Without her team leader to restrain her and Yang Huawei's help, she wanted to cause trouble.

"Seems we have no choice," Yang Huawei nodded. The internet age had its advantages. In deliberately understanding, Yang Huawei realized this was Earth 500 years ago, not his Sacred City.

Fang Hongyan swiftly loaded high-efficiency tranquilizer rounds into her pistols, shooting the still-shocked Jiang Yuan, who collapsed. Following Yang Huawei, she had no chance to fire again. Yang Huawei seemed to know where everyone was, like a whirlwind, knocking out anyone who dared block him, carefully using a finger to poke a spot on their bodies, making them faint. He then broke through walls into the next room, repeating the process.

"Hey, slow down," Fang Hongyan called, entering the second office where Yang Huawei had already knocked everyone out, her gun unused.

Yang Huawei ignored her, rushing into the next room. Nearly a hundred people, police and suspects alike, were knocked out.

"Is this... acupressure?" Fang Hongyan asked, surprised. Could legendary Chinese martial arts have risen in the future?

"Acupressure? No, it's a self-rescue method invented by soldiers. Some soldiers, due to prolonged warfare, become violent or overly aggressive. We can't kill our comrades, so we lightly press here," Yang Huawei said, pressing Fang Hongyan's rear brain, making her feel clear-headed, like after three days of sleep. "For more severe cases, we press here to make them sleep. If they don't wake up, we send them to the research institute," he said, indicating her left clavicle.

"Amazing," Fang Hongyan marveled, poking Yang Huawei's chest, feeling like hitting steel.

"You're too weak," Yang Huawei said, shaking his head, looking around. "What do we do now?"

"Can you wake one up? We need to know where the documents are," Fang Hongyan said, noting the empty police station.

"He seems like an officer," Yang Huawei said, picking up Zhu Xuewen. Rubbing his rear brain, Zhu Xuewen slowly awoke, eyes wide with fear at the intruders.

"Special Task Force, you should know us," Fang Hongyan flashed her credentials.

"I don't care who you are. I'm the chief of Yanjiang City Police, a state official, a party member..." Zhu Xuewen shouted.

"F***, I deal with you officials. Below provincial level, I have the authority to investigate. We're under the National Security Bureau. Suspected of selling state secrets, resist and I'll shoot you for resisting arrest, just a report," Fang Hongyan said disdainfully.

"I... I didn't..." Zhu Xuewen, shocked at the accusation, knew there was nothing in Yanjiang City worth selling, no military bases or secret factories, not even nuclear research.

"It's not up to you; it's up to me," Fang Hongyan said, tapping his sweaty face with her gun, ready to fire.

"No, wait, I'll talk..." Zhu Xuewen, not a tough guy, broke under the threat.

"Good. Speak," Fang Hongyan said, playing with her gun, scaring Zhu Xuewen into shrinking his head.

Stammering, Zhu Xuewen explained, making Yang Huawei's eyes blaze with anger. He wanted to kill this man, having missed the best time and causing unnecessary deaths.

"Where are the documents?" Fang Hongyan pointed her gun at Zhu Xuewen's oily head.

"In my safe," Zhu Xuewen shouted, opening the safe and taking out a confidential file. Yang Huawei, face dark, read the photos and documents, angering him further. Fang Hongyan was speechless, Zhu Xuewen fainting.

"I want to kill him," Yang Huawei said, his first urge since arriving in this world. Five hundred years later, human life was precious, and self-killing was unthinkable. Yang Huawei was shocked that in the modern era, at humanity's peak, people still disregarded life. Fang Hongyan could only sigh, unable to explain that such people were everywhere.
