I carefully explored the environment around me, noticing the marked difference from the places I was accustomed to.

This place, unlike other vampire-frequented locales I had visited, emanated a distinct atmosphere, making me feel as if I had entered a hunting ground. A subtle yet undeniably palpable sensation lingered in the air, suggesting that in this space, I was the prey.

It felt as though a piercing gaze was fixed on me, cutting through the crowd and intriguingly reaching my presence.

I turned to try and identify who it was and met a pair of eyes staring at me.

Blood-red eyes.
