CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Time flew away like it never did. The morning hour is finally done as well as Christian's await to meet his love. He rushed to her like there's no tomorrow.

"Han! I'm starving. Give me some food," he's a literal child whimpering around his mom for the lollies. He sat beside her being all excited to taste the delicacy. But the first thing he knew is inhaling the familiar vanilla and cedar with closed eyes to feel the warmth that a fragrance could probably do to him. The strong scent lingering right inside his head like that of cocaine. Damn, he's so enchanted by the magic spells casted by Hannah's mere existence. What more she could've done? Soon, the vanilla and cedar is replaced by the aroma of sweet pancake and honey topped with a cube of butter making anybody crave. Christian took his first bite and the next thing is reminiscing how his mother would prepare the pancakes. He could feel his mother as if she's right beside him. How could some mere pancakes make him obsessed with Hannah more? But it did. While Hannah patiently waited until it was her turn to ask him how the dish was like a lost puppy in the town. Her doe eyes screamed 'Just tell me already!'.

"It's so delicious like my mother's. And it straight away melted my heart, top notch Chef! "

Hannah sighed in relief as Christian said that.

"You could've told that right away," she complained.

"I obviously need some time to use my each and every taste bud to feel the melting butter with sweet honey and fluffy batter Han! You should definitely have some, cause I just love it." Christian said making a thumbs up with a huge and content smile.

With that Hannah took her first bite and she really loved it like he just said. She finally figured out why he needed some time to feel the taste, of course it was top notch as it slowly melted, the combined taste of mild sweet from the sugar and a pinch of fresh cardamom mixed with perfect consistency batter resulting fluffy cake topped with organic honey and a cube of butter, setting her standards high for the next time.

"Tell me you just loved it like I did Han!" Christian said as he knew what would be the answer. Hannah nodded with agreement while her mouth's filled with contentment of joy streaming right down to her heart.

"Are you going to watch my match this weekend? Did you ask Scarlett about her schedule? Should I get you guys VIP front row tickets?" Christian throws a ton of questions at her.

"Yeah, yeah, stop right there. Yes, we're going to the match and don't worry we'll be on your side and yes get us the tickets"

Hannah said boosting him up with hell a lot of energy.

"Okay, I'll pick you up by evening with the tickets" he winked at her and left to practice with saying " And don't forget to call me, if something or someone bothers you".

Hannah loved this protective side of him indeed. She left smiling without the knowledge of someone eavesdropping their conversation. Who might that be? Let the story unfold for more.

As the time passed by, Christian came back with the tickets plastered with proud smile.

Hannah looked at her watch while waiting for him and Christian took this chance to scare her a bit.

Hannah received a text reading, "Han! Come over, I tripped while buying the tickets and guess I injured my leg. I'm at the 5th lobby. HURRY."

Her expression turned into worry and rushed over there.

Reaching the lobby, now the clumsy Hannah's the one tripping over, looking at the consequences with widened eyes he switched from his so called "injured position" into " Hannah's Saviour ".

Sliding his arm securely on her waist balancing her entire weigh on him and held her before she could land on the floor. Bringing his other hand to her face and moving her strand of hair that's probably intervening his view. Hannah gulped down her saliva as she could feel his hot breath on her. His strong cinnamon scent filled the room and her oxytocin were released as she calmed herself knowing the identity of her so called Saviour for now.
