The Twin Threat

When a set of footballing loving twins with the blazing aspiration of becoming twins suddenly get abandoned by their father, they are pulled out of their football academy, crushing the little hope they have of ever becoming professional players.



However, all hope is not lost as they are set up to join one of the Academies registered for the Nigerian National Football Tournament(NNFT) a competition sponsored by FIFA that had been running across numerous nations for a decade.



A competition that promised an opportunity for exceptional players from different highschool teams to make it pro.



This was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the twins, as they were now in their last year of highschool.



However, the twins would come to realize that there was a problem with their plan, the highschool they ended up joining was one whose management didn't care that much about football despite having talented players among its students.



Well, that much was supposed to be obvious since they've only managed to make it out of the group stage once in ten years and that was only barely so. Even so, that was one of the most memorable tournaments of the academy, not because they got to the round of sixteen but because they were utterly humiliated in both legs of the game.



Six goals to nothing in the first leg and eight goals to nothing in the second leg. A brutal defeat received from a team from the neighboring state.
