Chapter 7: The Unexpected Ally

Kate and Sarah arrived at the meeting point, a deserted parking garage on the outskirts of town. Kate's instincts were on high alert, her hand resting on her gun.

Jack emerged from the shadows, looking around nervously. "Kate, I'm glad you came," he said, spotting Sarah. "Who's this?"

"My sister," Kate replied, her eyes narrowing. "What have you found out?"

Jack hesitated, glancing around the garage again. "I've been investigating some strange financial transactions. I think I've found a link to the organization."

Kate's grip on her gun tightened. "What kind of link?"

Jack pulled out a folder filled with documents. "It seems they're using a shell company to funnel money into the assassination plot."

Sarah's eyes widened. "Can we use this to stop them?"

Jack nodded. "I think so. But we need to be careful. I've already had some close calls."

Kate's expression softened. She realized Jack was in this with her, and she trusted him.

Just then, a noise echoed through the garage. Footsteps.

Kate's instincts kicked in. "Get down!" she yelled, pulling out her gun.

But as the figure emerged from the shadows, Kate's eyes widened in surprise. It was Alex, her old friend from the FBI.

"Alex!" Kate exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"

Alex smiled grimly. "I've been tracking the organization too. I think we can help each other."

As they quickly caught up, Kate realized they had stumbled upon something much bigger than they had initially thought. The organization's tentacles reached far and wide, and they needed all the help they could get.

But as they formed an uneasy alliance, Kate couldn't shake off the feeling that they were still missing something. Something big.

And then, just as they were about to leave, Alex's phone buzzed. He answered, his expression turning grim.

"What is it?" Kate asked.

Alex's voice was low. "It's the President. He's been compromised."

Kate's heart sank. They were running out of time.
