Chapter eight

Nicole realized she needed to get out more often. She couldn't actually believe how much fun she was having out here in the middle of the forest. Perhaps it was all the alcohol in her system talking but she was having a blast. When the three of them had first arrived, Nicole had decided to hit the food stalls first. From there she had to the fire to roast a couple of mallows and absolutely enjoyed it. She had never roasted marshmallows before and her first time trying them did not disappoint at all.

Ava had wondered off, looking for supposed hook up buddy and while Tammy had remained with her. Although she was also partaking in the fun, Nicole could tell that there was something up with Tammy, although she couldn't quite put a finger on it.

"You sure you're okay Tams? You can talk to me you know and if you're scared, I will judge you, rest assured I will not remember a thing tomorrow."

"Lol I know you won't remember a thing tomorrow; I can see it in your glassy eyes."

"Great so spill Tammy, no one but the birds can hear us."

"Ah don't worry about village girl, I'm just feeling home sick that's all."

"Oh. Well sorry I can't help because I do not miss home at all..."

Tammy's eyes piped up at Nicole's statement. She was curious as to why she of all people would say that. Ever since she met her Nicole had never mentioned anything bad about her family. She was always calling her mom and sister almost every single day and her uncles and aunt occasionally.

"Why would you say that I thought you loved your family?"

"I do, I really do but, all my life I was like a bird, always trapped and not allowed to go anywhere or do anything but now that I'm here I'm like a bird that has been let out of its cage, I'm free now and don't want to be trapped again. My home was my cage and that's why I don't miss it. No one would miss their cage once they have tasted freedom."

Wow Tammy hadn't realized it was that deep. She honestly couldn't relate to what Nicole had just said. All her life' from as far as she could remember she always had the freedom she wanted. She could go anywhere and do anything as long as her parents knew where she was and with who, same with Ava. It never once occurred to her that perhaps someone out there was living a completely different life from them.

"Well then my dear friend I am here now, and as long as you want to continue enjoying your freedom, I will be here to support you, but you know, also guide you and make sure you don't do anything dumb like drinking while sitting down. Jesus Christ village girl, don't you know you'll get drunk quicker that way?"

"Nope."

Tammy sighed as Nicole broke out into fits of giggles. This is what she gets for befriending people who are light weights.

"Alright come on stand up, we have to get you sober stat."

"Wow Nicole how much did you have to drink, is she alright?"

"Don't just stand there Ava, help me get her up."

"Okay, okay I'm coming."

Holding Nicole up with both arms, both girls helped her up to her feet.

"Here open your mouth, I have some ice with me. Suck on it or chew but just make sure it stays in your mouth, and you finish it."

Opening her mouth and chewing on the ice started having a bit of an effect on Nicole, she wasn't sober, but she wasn't drunk anymore. She was somewhere along the lines of really tipsy now.

"More I need more."

"Okay Ava stay with her while I go and get more ice, don't lose her Ava I swear to god if you do....."

"I won't damn relax, just go."

Walking away Tammy hoped and prayed that Ava would listen, she didn't look sober herself either. Damn lightweights.

"Ava, I need the bathroom."

"Sure, let's go hon I got you."

Walking to the direction where the container toilets where, Ava and Nicole couldn't believe how long the line was, there wasn't even mirrors in there so what was taking so long?

"Look Ava let's just go and pee in the bushes."

"Eeww what, Nicole are you crazy. We can get an infection."

"We won't trust me, besides its either we go there, or I pee myself right here and now cause I don't know how much longer I can hold it honestly."

"Fine fine let's go, and let's make it quick, it only takes seconds to catch an infection you know."

Rolling her eyes, Nicole linked her arm with Ava and together they walked away from the party, into the more hidden and darker parts of the woods. Once feeling like they were far away enough they moved just a few feet away from each other, allowing the other person their own privacy to do their own thing.

Lowering down her pants and undies Nicole squatted down and finally after holding it in for so long, let her pee out. She honestly couldn't remember anything quite as satisfying as this. Over in the distance Nicole could hear a bit of rustling but paid no attention to it. Only once all her pee was out and mind started sobering up a little did she realize how quiet it had gotten.

Animals in the wild never stayed quiet unless there was something that caused them to keep quiet. Suddenly alarm bells rang through Nicole and all the alcohol drained out of her system. Standing up quickly and pulling up her pants she quickly ran over to Ava's side.

"Get dressed quickly we have to go."

Before Ava could get a word out, Nicole yanked her up onto her feet and was already pulling her shorts up. Before Ava could pull her pants up Nicole had her by the hand and was only a few steps in when she collided into something hard that sent both her and Ava tumbling into something else behind them.

"Going somewhere ladies?"
