Cassandra went through so many hotels and restaurants, but they weren't looking for an extra worker. She stopped by at a fast food shop and ate something really quick. Now, it was the time of seven pm. She continued her journey until she finally came to stop before a restaurant, it was a beautiful five-star restaurant;
The Garden Of Eat'n.
At the heart of the city, nestled amidst lush greenery, stands The Garden Of Eat'n. As it was the time of evening, the restaurant transformed into a magical oasis. The building's front view was a symphony of glass and gold exterior, reflecting the city lights. Twinkling fairy lights adorned the entrance, casting a warm glow on the path, making it more enchanting and attractive to people. The rooftop garden had elegant wrought-iron chairs and tables await, surrounded by fragrant bloom. Before the entrance was an elegantly designed marble water fountain, dancing gracefully, its crystal-clear waters catching moonlight. Soft notes emanate from hidden speakers, creating an ambiance of serenity.
Gosh, this restaurant was so freaking beautiful and Cassandra just felt breathless. She highly doubted that they'd need extra workers, with all the high floors, she could see waiters and waitresses walk in and out, inside the restaurant, serving meals. This place just looked so ethereal and out of place in the whole country.
Though knowing they might not be looking for an extra worker, it still didn't deter her from trying her luck, she was lucky she had at least dressed up nicely.
She walked forward, gushing at the sight as she got close to the water fountain. She stood before the main entrance glass door, it was an automatic door that'd feel someone's presence before it, then open on its own. She entered inside.
She was still amazed at how the exteriors looked, now the inside was just simply breath-stopping. She was awed.
She walked around the first floor, no one really noticed her as tge place was buzzing around, she could freely move. She saw a strict looking woman standing beside the cashier at the counter, she looked like the head, only that she didn't look like the owner of this place.
With her heart hammering inside of her, she walked towards the lady. "Good evening to you, Ma." She spoke when she was close to the woman.
"Oh good evening, dear. Are you looking for a good table spot or did you make a reservation?" The woman gave an elderly polite smile.
"Oh no. I was meaning to ask if you'd need an extra worker?" She went straight to the point on why she was here.
"An extra worker, hm? I think you should meet the director." She said.
Cassandra blinked. "Director... As in, owner of the place?"
"Apparently, he's not the owner but the owner is a mad business tycoon, so he got someone to fill in for him." The lady said.
"Ah, okay. The way to the director's office then?"
The kind lady led Cassandra to an elevator, leading to the director's office. "The last floor."
Cassandra murmured a thank you before clicking the button of the last floor. Her heart raced. The lady didn't get to tell if they needed more worker and had only sent her to the director's office. She wondered what the person was like, was it a man or a woman?
The elevator pinged open and Cassandra got out. It was a long passageway down to a single office present on the last floor. She walked towards the golden embedded door. The space was oil-painted in white, and the floor was marble tiled. "Meh... Who the hell owned this place?" She muttered to herself, coming to stand before the golden double door. She attempted to knock but her eyes caught a small button beside the door's handle. It didn't take a genius to know what the button was for. She pressed on the button and the door immediately opened from inside.
"Come on in." She looked and saw a man dressed in formal white shirt tucked in his black suit pants. He held the door open for her and she entered inside. The office was big and luxurious. It even had a mini bar and a coffee spot. She looked around and found the supposed director behind his office desk. The golden light from the office emanating his features. But Cassandra didn't care about how he looked. She walked to the desk.
"Good evening, director." She didn't know how els to term him.
"Evening." He swirled his office chair from side to side. "Who are you, and to what do I owe this unexpected visit?" He asked, his voice like waves of water.
"Oh... I er," she looked at the security guard standing before the door, then back at the director. "I'm looking for a job and I wondered if this place could employ me." She said with her small voice.
The man was enchanted at how beautiful the girl was. Normally, he would've employed her because of her features and how she spoke. She was intellectual. But he knew that wasn't the right thing to do. Standing up from his office chair, he walked around the table to stand before her, towering her height.
"Zayn Anderson. Nice to meet you." He outstretched his hand for a handshake and Cassandra accepted his hand for a shake.
"Cassandra Frederick." She smiled at him.
"May we?" He pointed his head to the sofa present in his office and she nodded.
Zayn started going with the details about her schooling and everything, he asked; "Which would you like to work as? A waitress or a cashier?" They weren't looking for extra workers but he just wanted to keep her close to him. Zayn was already inlove.
"Ah... I get to choose?" She chuckled awkwardly. "Uhm, then, I would love to be a waitress." Cassandra thought he looked familiar, but she couldn't place his face.
"That's it then." He smiled.
"But I have a request."
"Go on, dear." He wonder
ed what she wanted to ask.
"Can I only work nightshifts?"
