The Songster [III]

"I heard that some staff members had some issues about your conversations just now." Sin Yoon smiled.

She just heard from the staff that Atlas asked the program team to change the way the chairs worked. He also discussed some conditions with the program team. Some of the staff members were secretly complaining in private. They believed this big director was here to cause trouble.

Atlas smiled but said nothing.

"Why did you want them to design it like that? What is the purpose of the turning chairs?" Sin Yoon was indeed quite curious.

"This is a big secret. You will know it when the time comes. But I can assure you that I will never let you down."

Atlas was unwilling to say, and Sin Yoon did not force him to answer. She knew that Atlas never fought a battle without preparation. No matter how many doubts there were, this young director was of course confident. This design was not something he came up with out of thin air, but must have been proven by experiments.

This was definitely the biggest highlight that made the music variety show popular. It was a sure-fire move.

The different versions of variety music shows in Korea were mostly introduced from a foreign music program.

Some improvements were made on their basis, and they received widespread attention as soon as they were broadcast.

So whether it was the Voice of Korea, Korea Got Talent, Korean Idol and the others, once they were broadcast, they continued to dominate the ratings of variety shows.

Moreover, the newest one had been in broadcast for six consecutive seasons. So for a new program to have the viewership rating of over five percent would be considered a miracle in the history of variety shows!

Ha Woong was laying down on the sofa, holding the remote control and switching it back and forth, when she realized that the time was almost up, and quickly switched to a fixed channel.

Ha Woong was an old fan of variety music shows and she never missed any season or episode, no matter the producer. So, she was sure to watch the premiere of this new show. After watching the performances, she would go to the music platform to reminisce those songs.

Then people went online to give a big thumbs up to this variety show.

She also formed a group with a group of people who liked different variety shows. Then they shared relevant news about the program in the group.

One could say that she was a crazy fan of variety shows. But she felt that variety shows were becoming less and less interesting recently. They were no different from any other reality shows. The main reason she wanted to watch this new show now was because she had nothing to do.

The variety show started at 8pm.

Ha Woong was half lying on the sofa, looking uninterested. She was holding the phone and checking online media, occasionally glancing at the TV.

She symbolically shouted in the group. "It's finally starting, everyone!"

Then several people responded to her message.

"I'm here!"

"Just preparing some fruit for the show!"

"I won't watch it today. I'm working overtime!"

"I've made an appointment with some of my friends, but I'll watch the replay!"

If it were at the very beginning.

As soon as a variety show started, a large number of people would spontaneously come out. But now everyone thought it was meaningless. So they didn't want to waste time on this.

The program started with a VCR.

Four mentors were introduced, and they were indeed very influential.

Even Sin Yoon was invited. Maybe the program crew themselves felt that there wws nothing to watch. Now it all depended on the tutors to earn ratings.

10 minutes later.

The camera cuts to the scene.

The host began. "Welcome everyone to the first season of The Songster. Let's meet our judges."

Then the camera to the four mentors who greeted the audience in turn.

Ha Woong opened her online Wave account.

The hot searches bought by the program team had already begun to take shape.

Ha Woong scrolled a few times but didn't click in. It wasn't all about those words anyway.

The host finally left the stage after saying a lot of introductory words.

The stage immediately went dark.

The participants haven't come on stage yet, but a beam of light shone on the four mentors.

Ha Woong was just about to get up from the sofa to go to the bathroom, when she stopped. The mentors actually had their backs to the stage? Her first reaction was that of a live broadcast malfunctions? That shouldn't be right. Was this program live or what?

So she sat down again.

After waiting for about a minute, several mentors still had their backs to the stage and did not turn around.

What was going on?
