Stepping into the classroom, all the students turned to face them. Slyvia felt her cheeks burn with embarrassment. Gosh, this is all Rose's fault, she thought. Not only was she late, but she had probably missed an important lecture too. All eyes were now on Rose, who walked regally in her pristine white gown and immaculate boots that echoed against the tiled floor.
Ava sat beside Nina, who was desperately trying to get her attention. But as always, Ava ignored her, treating the girl like she didn't exist. Across the room, Vesper and Ophelia exchanged blushing glances, unable to hide their admiration for Ava.
"Darling, calm down," Vesper whispered soothingly. "Remember the Founder's Day event. You've got this—don't let her get to you."
Ava exhaled sharply, nodding. Vesper was right. Why was she letting Rose rattle her? She shouldn't be bothered by such trivial matters.
Leaning closer to her boyfriend, Simon, Ava whispered with a sly smile, "I'm feeling horny as hell. Let's sneak out after biology—I need you."
Across the room, Rose casually sat down next to Emily, while Slyvia begrudgingly took a seat near her worst enemy, Harlan. She would have switched seats, but at this point, there was no other choice.
At the front of the classroom, Ares stood by the podium, looking immaculate and effortlessly sexy. His deep voice resonated as he explained the topic of anatomy. His lips moved in perfect rhythm, captivating the class until he suddenly stopped.
"Alright," he announced, "I think it's time to share the results from the pop quiz."
He moved around the classroom, handing out papers. Stopping at Ezekiel, he smiled warmly. "Congratulations, Mr. Sawyer. You scored the highest again—100%. You're a genius."
The room buzzed with murmurs. Emily glanced at her own paper and groaned. Sixty points. She barely passed—the cutoff was fifty-five. Looking over at Slyvia's paper, her jaw dropped.
"Ninety-eight percent?!" Emily exclaimed. "Slyvia, you passed me! How is that even possible?"
Slyvia simply shrugged, her face unreadable. Meanwhile, Ares displayed the class rankings on the board:
1. Ezekiel – 100%
2. Slyvia – 98%
3. Ava – 90%
4. Harlan – 90%
5. Jeremy – 90%
Ava's face turned as white as a sheet. Slyvia, of all people, had surpassed her? And to make matters worse, she was now tied with Harlan and Jeremy.
"Excuse me, sir," Ava interrupted, her tone sharp. "There must be a mistake. I'm sure I would have scored higher than Slyvia. It's impossible for her to pass me!" But Ares ignored her then he spoke.
" I think we have established it's by your IQ so please no unnecessary questions."
In the back, Nadine observed the scene, stunned. Her gaze shifted to Jeremy, who seemed calm despite the tension. How does Ezekiel manage to stay at the top? she wondered. Does he even study?
"Luna, what was your score?" Nadine asked.
Luna showed her paper—78%. Nadine gave her an encouraging thumbs-up before glancing at Ezekiel. She couldn't help but admire him. He was handsome, smart, and effortlessly charismatic.
"Hmm, Nadine," Luna teased, "are you admiring Zeke?"
Nadine froze, realizing too late that her voice had carried across the room. Everyone, including Ezekiel, turned to look at her. Mortified, she wished the ground would swallow her whole. But to her surprise, Ezekiel simply turned away, ignoring her completely.
"What the hell?" Nadine muttered. "Why the sudden coldness?"
Jeremy leaned over, whispering in her ear, "I think Ezekiel is in love with Ares, our teacher. But he's keeping it hidden because of his family's reputation."
Nadine felt a surge of anger. She didn't know why Ezekiel's actions affected her so much, but she wasn't about to let it go.

"So, you guys should study hard," Ares advised. "Next time, we'll be combining with the anatomy teacher for a practical exam. Get ready. And to the top five—congratulations again."
He paused, turning to Ezekiel. "Mr. Sawyer, please see me in my office after class." With that, he grabbed his briefcase. As he adjusted it on his shoulder, his shirt lifted slightly, revealing a glimpse of his toned abs.
Ezekiel's gaze lingered, practically drooling, while Nadine watched the scene with disgust. Why does he have to meet Ares privately? she wondered. Her curiosity piqued, she decided to follow them. What's the worst that could happen?
As Ares exited the classroom, students began packing their things.
Slyvia stood up, but Rose stopped her. "Can you tell me what you know about Lucinda? I've heard I resemble her, and I'm curious. Tell me everything."
Emily noticed Slyvia's discomfort and was about to intervene when Ava marched up to them, her voice ringing loud enough for the entire class to hear.
"Slyvia, you don't deserve that spot!" Ava shouted. "I've always been at the top with Zeke—not you!"
Rose smirked, her eyes scanning the room. Her attention settled on Simon, who was deep in conversation with Ezekiel. Something about their interaction seemed... off. Rose's curiosity burned brighter, but Ava's tantrum demanded her attention.
"Oh, the 'mass queen' strikes again," Rose mocked, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Why don't you go sort out your pathetic life instead of whining?"
Ava's face twitched with rage. "How dare you—"
Rose interrupted, striding to Nina's desk. She snatched up Nina's quiz paper and held it up for the class to see.
"Let's take a look at this wannabe's score," she said mockingly. "Oh my goodness—below average. Forty-five percent! Are you even a science student?"
Laughter erupted as students pointed at Nina, who sat frozen in her seat. Emily glanced at Harlan, their eyes meeting briefly. Her heart skipped a beat, but Harlan broke the gaze, walking past her as if she didn't exist.
"Rose, can we go now?" Emily pleaded, her voice shaky. "I'm not feeling well."
But Rose wasn't done. She pinned Nina's score to the board with a malicious smile. "Consider this a reminder of your place. You're nothing but a failure."
Nina's hands clenched so tightly that her nails drew blood, but she didn't care. The humiliation was unbearable.
"And remember," Rose added coldly, "you're a scholarship student. Stay in the slums where you belong, trash."
Unable to take it anymore, Nina bolted from the room.
Satisfied, Rose linked arms with Slyvia and Emily, striding out triumphantly. Ava, meanwhile, stomped her foot in frustration, her voice echoing in the emptying hall.
"This is the last straw!" Ava screamed. Pacing around the hall, "Tonight, at the Founder's Day event, we're putting Rose, Emily, and Slyvia in their place!"
Ophelia giggled, while Vesper smirked.
"And Nina?" Vesper asked. "That pest keeps bothering you."
Ava's face darkened. "She'll fulfill her part of the bargain tomorrow. After that, she's done."
Ava stopped pacing, a wicked gleam in her eyes.
"By the time we're done, those three won't dare show their faces at Paradise High again."

Jeremy on the other hand walked straight to Rose, Emily and Slyvia ignoring Luna warnings.
" Excuse me ladies and you beautiful.."
He smiled pointing at Rose. Rose who was irritated at the guy action flared.
" Excuse me who the fuck are you ...
Jeremy chuckled, unfazed by Rose's sharp tone.
"Relax, beautiful. I'm Jeremy." He extended his hand confidently, but Rose only crossed her arms, her icy glare unwavering.
"I'm not interested in whatever you're selling."
Emily and Slyvia exchanged a quick glance, both sensing the storm brewing. But Jeremy wasn't deterred.
"Who said anything about selling? I just couldn't help but notice your... commanding presence." His smirk widened, a playful challenge dancing in his eyes.
Rose tilted her head slightly, her lips curling into a mocking smile.
"Flattery doesn't work on me, Jeremy. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have better places to be." She grabbed Emily's arm and turned to leave, but Jeremy's next words stopped her in her tracks.
"You should watch your back, Rose. The queen's crown doesn't stay on long when everyone's out for your head."
The atmosphere grew tense. Emily froze, her grip on Rose tightening, while Slyvia narrowed her eyes at Jeremy.
"Is that a threat?" Rose asked, stepping closer to him, her voice calm but laced with steel.
Jeremy raised his hands in mock surrender, a smug grin on his face.
"Not at all. Just a friendly reminder. This school has its own rules, and you girl seem... new to them."
Without another word, Jeremy turned and walked away, leaving the trio in a charged silence.

Meanwhile, Nadine carried her books to her locker and Instantly began her journey, she must figure out what Ares want with Zeke privately. She doesn't know why but she was pissed, walking slowly she followed Zeke.
Zeke moved so swiftly, hands in his pocket, his grey eyes twinkling so much, Nadine was so focused on following him that she had no idea when her head hit on a hard surface and a pair of beautiful grey eyes ended up staring directly at her.
Nadine's heart pounded as she stared into Ezekiel's mesmerizing grey eyes.
"You're following me," Ezekiel stated, his voice low and unamused.
Nadine stammered, her face flushing.
"I... I wasn't! I just—"
Ezekiel raised an eyebrow, cutting her off.
"If you have something to say, say it."
The hallway was empty, the tension between them palpable. Nadine struggled to find the right words, but all she could think about was the strange, magnetic pull Ezekiel seemed to have—not just over her, but the entire class.
"Why did Ares ask for you?" she blurted out, her curiosity overtaking her caution.
Ezekiel's expression darkened, his gaze piercing.
"That's none of your business."
Before Nadine could respond, Ezekiel turned on his heel and walked away, leaving her standing in the hallway, frustrated and confused.
