Chapter 154 : Spar [1]

"So what? Even if what you are telling is the truth, are you telling me that just us can fight against an organization which could go and fight against entire nations, let alone the leader of this Akatsuki Organisation.

If we can do that, then certainly those ninja villages could do much better than us…" Guren asked, still her tone laced with both doubt and uncertainty.

Maybe she wasn't believing what Shika just said to them or she wasn't accepting the facts. Maybe she just didn't want to fight against those Akatsuki people, who knows.

"Yes, you are right in this regard, hidden villages have much better resources and manpower than we could have.

However, who gonna tell this to them. By the time they became aware of this, it would be too late, why do you think I left Konoha.

Do you think, I didn't thought about telling the Hokage or my Jonin sensei about this.

Would they have believed me, Let's say they have, do you think they would have taken action.

I don't think so, and there is also the possibility that there are spies working for Akatsuki inside the hidden villages. After all, I recently found out that one of the elders of Konoha, someone who had significant power in his hands, had dealings with both Orochimaru and Akatsuki." Shika was calm when replying to this, he long knew what kind of question they could ask him and prepared for that.

And sure enough, the more he said, the more harder it became to question his plan. Guren was fuming and so were others, who wanted to find any faults.

"Okay, can't leave this to the Hidden villages, I doubt it but I will give you the benefit of the doubt. But what about my other question?

Do you really think that just we can beat an Organization of that level? Even one S-rank missing nin, a Konoha Ninja himself was able to infiltrate the hidden leaf and kill its Hokage.

And you are telling us to go against multiples if not dozens of shinobi who are at the level of Orochimaru ?" Guren asked again.

"I agree with that one, currently you all are not strong enough to fight the members of Akatsuki." Shika said but a small smile started to play on his lips.

Narrowing his eyes, Sasuke who was listening to the banter shifted his gaze to Shika. He almost felt that that tone was familiar, Shika usually used that tone when he win against Sasuke in a spar.

"Oi, what do you mean by you all, I believe you are not involving me with this weak trash.." Sasuke grumbled, if there was one thing which Sasuke cared about after finding his brother and getting revenge then it was the rivalry he had going on with Naruto in the Canon.

Here, Sasuke's target of that rivalry however was no longer Naruto. It was Shika. After he got beaten in the Chunin exam, not even once he was able to beat Shika.

"I can't let that comment go unnoticed, do you think you are a big shot just because you have those fancy eyes Uchiha. Mind having it a go, let me put some sense into you…" Suigetsu called out on the side.

"Who do you think you are calling weak, do you wanna fight ?" Guren too seems triggered.

"Haha… " Shika laughed, already knowing where this was heading.

"I didn't call you weak, it's just that you all are indeed not strong enough to fight against S rank missing nins the way you all are right now. And that also includes you Sasuke…" Shika said and slowly got up.

He saw how everyone's face was crunching up, they were ready to retort but he stopped them as soon as he got up.

"Let me show you what kind of enemies you all will face if you stay here, and while I'm at it, I'll also establish why I dare to go against Akatsuki and why I get to become the leader.

Anyone of you who think that you can take me on, come on, I will take you all at once…" Shika had a shirk on his face.

No longer he have this calm expression on his face, rather he looked like he was looking down on others.

"Fine, I wanted to smack that lazy-looking face of yours since I first saw you anyway." Guren also got up, the most eager to start the fight to see what qualification the other person had to recruit her.

"Anyone else.." Shika looked around.

"Hm… I will beat you alone, I don't need these weaklings to help me." Sasuke remained sited, already knowing what Shika was capable of, he didn't plan to take any action.

"Oh, who you are calling a weakling." Suitgetus was getting more and more angry, especially with Sasuke.

"Stop looking down on me you bastard, I don't need anyone to beat the shit out of you…" Guren too was infuriated by how Shika was behaving.

Shika didn't bother replying he just calmly looked at Jugo, Haku and Kimimaro.

"I'm not interested in fighting." Jugo shook his head, already backing down.

"Same with me, I already know you're strong, there is no need." Haki also didn't get up.

Kimimaro remained seated, pondering something until said this. " Guren is almost as strong as me in my prime. If you can beat her then there is no reason for me to act."

"Good, Oi water boy, stay out of it, he's all mine." Guren smirked and glared at Suigetsu after this.

"Water boy ?" Suigetsu seems like he wanted to retort however, upon seeing who was ordering him, he didn't.

"Only one, well…. Don't tell me later that I didn't give you all a chance…" Shika shrugged and walked a little away from the table.

They were sitting in an open area, so they could fight there without much issues.

Both stand in front of each other at some distance. While Guren was looking all fired up, Shika was more lazy in his mannerism.

There was a lazy look on his face, it almost felt like he wasn't taking the fight seriously. Guren, of course, didn't like it.

"Ladies first…" Shika seeing that she wasn't acting, said, giving her the first move.

This further infuriated her and she started printing handsigns. And soon enough, pink crystals started to sprout out of the ground. Rushing right in Shika's direction.

"Crystals, A kekkei genkai…" Sasuke muttered, secretly now interested in the fight. Earlier he thought that she was a nobody, however now he was more interested in her.

Shika saw the crystals coming and just slammed his hands down to the ground, without any hand signs, an earth wall rose up, blocking the crystals coming towards him.

"Without Handsigns…" Sasuke and others too saw this and were taken aback. Little did they know that with Rinnegan, Shika can mostly omit the hand signs because Rinnegan gives almost perfect chakra control to its user.

Guren was expecting something like that, not for the jutsu with the lack of hand signs but for Shika to be able to block the attack.

Not wasting any time she threw many crystal projectiles towards where Shika was, only to find him gone. The Earth Wall crumble away, revealing no one.

Guren instincts called out and she jumped away, only avoiding the kunai rushing in her direction by hair's length.

She didn't think too much about it and printed hand signs again, this time creating some clone of hers with her crystal release.

She looked around with her clones, only to find that Shika was nowhere to be found.

Kimimaro on the side noticed this and remembered a particular invisibility jutsu Shika used against him back in the Orochimmaru's hideout.

And sure enough, he was on the spot, before Guren could even find Shika's location, all of her clones were shot down with some well-placed exploding tags on Kunai.

"Found you." Guren lost her clones but this action reveals Shika's position. She immediately closes the distance with him, ready to land a powerful attack on him with her cyberpunk-style arm blades.

"Idiot." Sauke saw this and shook his head, he had fallen on this trap of Shika so many times.

Just as Guren was only a few inches apart from Shika, suddenly all her moments stopped. She felt like someone restricted all her movements.

"This? What is this ?"

Guren's eyes widen, she was expecting an attack or defence from Shika's side but what was this.

Guren was trained by Orochimaru but she wasn't much aware of different clan's especiality. At least not all of them.

While she knew about Shraingan or Bayakugan, becuase they were quite famous in the ninja world. Nara Clan's shadow jutsu wasn't that famous, at least in comparison.

Though this situation happens with many shinobi and kunoichi, it is not uncommon to get trapped by some strange and complicated jutsu by the enemy.

Her training made her ready for this and the next moment she turned into crystals. Turn out she too was a clone.

Shika still remained calm, his eyes immediately caught sudden movements happening behind him, he didn't move but just made a hand sign.

Just as Guren was sneaking onto Shika, she saw Shika's shadow move. She immediately was on guard.

And the next moment she was thrown backwards, her crystal dagger in her hand lay broken.

Even her hand was injured, a deep claw mark ran vertically in her hand.

"Divine Dog Totality…" Shika completed his sentence after the giant wolf actually appeared.

Totality… was a technique of Ten Shdaow Techniques. After a Shadow or Shikigami is killed in battle after being contracted, the summoner loses that Shikigami forever, however, the summoner can still use the dead Shikigami's power and give it to another one of his summons though though Totality.

"That…" Sauske's eyes narrowed, he believed that he had seen all of Shika's summons, however, this one was new.

"A Summon Animal." Kimimaro muttered to himself, he used to look down on shinobi who used to summon animals in the fight, like they were compensating for their own weaknesses, howeeever after meeting the Manda. He changed his mind.

"You won't mind if I use my Summon Contracts right. If you wish I will return them." Shika asked, with a smile on his face, still looking calm and still having that infuriating smile on his face.

Guren gritted her teeth, she wanted to retort but when she saw that giant wolf which was able to tear apart her crystals which were almost as strong as steel.

She just felt anger. Getting up she started printing hand signs.

"Crystal Style, Crystal Dragon Jutsu." Guren shouted and a giant pink dragon made out of crystal rose up from the ground and went directly at the giant.

'Sound Style, Shattering Waves.' Shika made a hand sign, this not very useful to this jutsu of his, and then with all of his power he clapped his hand.

Though it wasn't more than a loud clap to others, however when he clapped, the character around his hand resonated and a powerful sound wave was released from his hand, directly moving all around, but Shika's mainly target it to the Crystal Dragon.

As soon as the sound wave came in contact with the Pink Dragon, it slammed into the crystal dragon and almost crushed its head like it was made out of thin glass.

"Sound attack… of this level…" Guren was no newcomer to sound base attacks, Orochimaru pretty much ruled the village with sound in his name.

However, this was the first time she had seen a sound attack so powerful that it could shatter her glass.

However, she didn't have much time to think about those things as she noticed the giant wolf launch towards her, her ferocious-looking claws already targeting her weak spots.
