A Celestial Enigma of Uncertainty

LUNA WILSON

"You mean the 'Prince' Evander Percy, who is in Boston?" he tried to put on a synthetic smile, behind his timid voice.

"No, I was just joking around, the 'Evan-Evan' connection you know," I say with a bright smile on my face.

He let out a sigh and started explaining to me about the club. "So, before anything else, let me enroll your name in the system, the club consists of 15 people as of now. We'd have to perform in various upcoming shows. Before that, what is your part in this club?" after a small loquacious, he let out a question.

"I hit high notes flawlessly," I say gesturing my hand joyfully. Hinting to him that I am a singer.

"Singer, huh?" he had this bored look on his face, which annoyed me. "So, what do you do?" I asked him, attempting to counter his look.

"Well, I am voiceless to girls like you" With a satirical smile on his face he exited the room without owing me an explanation. What was that supposed to mean?. He is mean.

I reached my classroom, after a long expedition, only to find out I was in the same class as "Mr. Evan Millfield". That meanie. I was greeted by Ms. Cooper with a warm smile. "This is Luna Wilson, she is a newbie at Merlin's University and she is from Saugerties." as Ms. Cooper continued, I could see several people putting on a cynical smile. "Luna, few words?" Ms. Cooper looked at me expecting me to speak. "Hi guys! I am Luna, Let's muddle along." as soon as I said the last word, everyone started cracking up. "Look, country wants to muddle along, anyone interested?!" said a boy seated next to the meanie. "Mike!" Ms. Cooper came to my defense. "Sorry for that Luna, Please take your seat". I put on a wan smile and looked for any empty chairs.

"Over here!" a voice from the crowd called me over. It was a "He". "I am Arthur Wu, nice meeting you and I have to say this, you are gorgeous. Pc: I am not hitting on you." "Hi," I say with a gleaming smile, taking my seat next to him.

There are different kinds of species in this class, I have to look for the good ones then I may escape from the gross ones. Until they are not masking their true self.

"I have a lot of questions, do you mind?" Arthur was hesitant. "No," I say curious about his questions.

"Why'd transfer from Saugerties in your middle year of college?"

I was expecting that. "Well, uhm my mom married a man from this town, so yeah, we shifted here." She was my stepmom. I didn't want to clarify that so I suppressed it within me.

"Interesting, so you don't like this 'Man'?"

smile faded away from my face. "No, I love Smith, he is a sweet guy. He helped our family financially, we are grateful to him." As if.

Arthur nodded "Why'd you drop by the music club first, before stopping by the class?"

"I got into my previous university with a fully funded scholarship from my high school under the arts category. I'd have to enroll myself in the music club first to prove my efficiency, only then I'd be eligible for the scholarship here. Orders from the principal, so that's about it."

"Bravo, we have got a singer" Arthur was excited but only for a few seconds. "Wait, which means you'd have to perform with Evan Millfield?." Not that meanie again.
