What's wrong with you?

"Ugh, why do we have to stand and wait when we could run", asked Exelirus, whining and pouting like a child as they stood at the bus stop.

"Too risky, are you forgetting the fact that you generate a literal trail of lightning whenever you run", said Daniela.

"It's not lightning, it's kinerix energy" Exelirus retorted.

"Whatever it's called, you may be insanely fast but that trail isn't exactly hard to notice even when you're moving at mock three. Running with you would draw way too much attention", said Daniela.

Exelirus then let out a sigh before saying, "Fine but what happened to that contraption we rode on the way to school".

"Oh, you mean my bike", she spoke while scratching the back of her with a nervous smile on her face.

"Funny story", she continued before proceeding to tell Exelirus how she had to deal with super villain called Mad Charger with incredible tough and dense, a massive horn at the top of his head like a rhino, and how to stop him from trampling on a few nearby civilian while he dashed madly through the city by crashing her bike in to him.

"You did what?" said Exelirus with a look of shock on his face upon hearing how Daniela crashed her bike to stop the Mad Charger.

"I had to otherwise people would have got hurt", said Daniela.

"But you have speed, couldn't you have you moved the people out of the way and then dealt with the villain", said Exelirus.

"And risk someone getting hurt if I couldn't get to them on time. Yeah no", said Daniela before wincing at the pain from her aching body.

"What's wrong with you?" asked Exelirus with a hint of worry and concern in his voice as he spoke.

"Nothing, it's that it took a lot more than slamming a bike straight in to him to stop Mad Charger. That guy's serious thick skinned and built like a tank" she spoke while wincing lightly.

" It's nothing I'm not used too. Super healing is kicking. I'll be alright, I just need to walk it off", said Daniela with a reassuring smile.

"Alright, if you say so", said Exelirus with a little bit of worry and concern still etched on his face as he spoke.

The bus then arrived and they both step in. Exelirus took a seat next to the window with Daniela seated next to him. Looking out the window as the bus began to move, Exelirus couldn't help but let out a sigh, looking out and seeing the people of Earth, walking or riding some contraption like a bicycle or car. They were all move to slowly, not zipping away or dashing with sparking trail of kinetrix energy behind them, they just moving very, very slowly.

Exelirus then let out a tired sigh, knowing it was going to be a very long ride. He then shifted his gaze to Daniela only to find her fast sleep. Exelirus for moment, upon seeing that she was a sleep, thought about waking het but upon seeing how peaceful she looked and recalled how battered and beaten up she way from dealing with a super villain that day, decided to just let her rest. Returning his gaze to the window he watched as they slowly passed a few building before noticing something in alley way. Squinting his eyes a little in attempt to make what was going there, noticed a man holding some kind of weapon, maybe knife, to a terrified woman while covering her mouth to prevent her from being able to scream. It seemed as though the man was going to hurt the woman but then, a burst of wind blew, seemingly out of nowhere along with blurry shadow racing past and it did, the man was gone and woman was safe.

Exelirus, along with everyone else in the bus felt a slight breeze, before turning around and saw Daniela still fast asleep next to him. He then shifted his gaze back to the window, watching as the woman slowly stepped out of alley with a relieved, thankful, and slightly shaken look on her face.

Exelirus then turned back at Daniela, looking at her with a questioning and shocked gaze while still noticing the light bruises that were already slowly fading away. Wondering how despite being so tired and beaten, she still had the strength to be the hero.
