Chapter 20: You Stab Me Once, I Stab You Once – Fair and Just, No Tricks!

The man called "Big Brother Okamoto" frowned instinctively, "Why are you back again? Who are these two people? Do you think you can just inquire about Lord Gato's whereabouts?!"

"It's like this..."

The burly man smiled and quietly walked to the other side, whispering a few words. Okamoto's expression remained unchanged as he asked, "Where is it?"

"Here."

The burly man took out a picture of Gato.

Okamoto glanced at it and nodded, "Get them, take them down!"

People nearby immediately rushed forward, their faces twisted with ferocious expressions as they held various weapons, advancing towards Shinsuke and Hidan.

The burly man revealed his true nature, a face full of mockery and cruelty, as if he couldn't wait to see the two in front of him hacked to pieces.

However, Shinsuke and Hidan's expressions remained unchanged.

Perhaps the burly man thought his poor acting had fooled the two, but in reality, they had already seen through the ruse and decided to play along.

Who brings a photo of the chairman when applying for a job?

Obviously, only troublemakers do that.

The burly man knew this, and so did Shinsuke and Hidan. They all believed they could outwit each other, so they tacitly cooperated to reach this point.

Now that the deception was clear, who was the real hunter?

Hidan's sleeve slid out a kunai, and as he took a step forward to kill the group of fools, he inexplicably glanced back at Shinsuke. Only when Shinsuke nodded did Hidan reveal a sadistic, excited expression and charge into the crowd.

This subtle change went unnoticed even by Hidan himself, showing that Shinsuke's training was starting to take effect. Along their journey to the Land of Waves, Shinsuke had managed to restrain Hidan's impulsive killings with both threats and persuasion.

It was to reduce trouble and subtly get Hidan used to following orders, minimizing resistance.

But it wasn't enough to just restrain Hidan; rewards were needed too, to achieve the ultimate goal.

While Shinsuke pondered, Hidan was already engaged in battle.

"Kill! Kill!! Kill!!! Ahahaha!"

Hidan laughed wildly, slashing a throat, kicking one person away, grabbing another by the head, and stabbing repeatedly until they became a bloodied mess.

"Weak, weak, weak, too weak! You don't even deserve to be sacrifices!"

He disdainfully tossed the "bloodied mess" aside, and the remaining people were momentarily stunned, not daring to advance.

Okamoto yelled in fury, "What are you afraid of! There are only two of them, surround and kill them!"

The remaining men, regaining their senses, gritted their teeth and charged forward.

Those who couldn't get close stayed back to prevent the bald man from escaping.

But Hidan had no intention of running, not even dodging!

Like a monster driven only by bloodlust, he mercilessly slaughtered the three in front, letting the others stab him in turn.

Thud!

Seeing this, Okamoto, who had been shocked, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He had run into a madman willing to die, costing him 7 or 8 men, how unlucky!

But at least the enemy seemed brainless; otherwise, the losses could have been greater.

As Okamoto was torn between frustration and relief, his pupils shrank in shock.

"Hey, don't twist the knives, it hurts!"

Hidan, supposedly dead, spoke, startling everyone. He then grinned, stabbing several people in the heart with his kunai.

Clang, clang...

Hidan pulled out the knives from his body, threw them away, stretched his neck, and announced their doom.

"No one escapes. I'll tear you all apart, shred you to pieces!"

He then launched a one-sided massacre!

Fair and just, tit for tat, you stab me, I stab you!

But no matter how many times he was stabbed, Hidan remained energetic, showing no sign of dying.

The others, however, paid with their lives, without exception!

The gangsters, not even ninjas, were instantly routed by Hidan's brutal killing.

"Monster!"

"Someone save me, please!"

"I don't want to die!"

"Run!"

"I'll fight you! Ah!"

...

This time, Shinsuke didn't stop Hidan, letting him vent his pent-up frustrations.

When he saw the man who led them there and Okamoto trying to escape, he acted, quickly catching up.

"Leaving so soon? Going to take me to see Gato?"

Blocking their path, Shinsuke got straight to the point.

Okamoto's face twisted in anger. He thought his underling was bringing him credit, but it turned out to be a reaper.

The bald guy was scary enough, but this man, despite his appearance, was clearly more dangerous.

If he could, he'd strangle the fool beside him!

"It's a misunderstanding, just a misunderstanding," Okamoto forced a smile and said quickly, "I was deceived by this idiot too. I don't know where Gato is..."

"Big Brother Okamoto! You..."

"Shut up! Who's your brother! You fool, clean up your mess, I'm leaving."

"Damn! You swore when you pursued my sister! Now you turn on me? Fine, you heartless jerk! Don't think I don't know about you and the maid! You know where Gato is?!"

"Lies! I'll kill you first!"

A dogfight ensued.

Even Shinsuke was surprised by their messy relationship and unintended gossip.

Casually, he crushed a small blood bag, turning it into ropes that shot towards the two.

The burly man was tied up, but Okamoto, with surprising speed, dodged and started weaving hand signs.

This guy was a ninja?!
