Chapter 54

Scarlett's health had always been compromised ever since childhood. When they were kids, Wyatt helped her get medicine and even go to the hospital. Just the thought of her in pain and doing it all alone made Wyatt unable to refuse.

"Okay, I'll be right over." He hung up the phone and turned the car around, driving all the way back to the castle.

"Wyatt," His wolf, Elijah, said. "What the hell are you doing? Harper's waiting for you." He couldn't understand Wyatt' relenting. It wasn't like him to do this for anyone.

"You're letting her down," Elijah complained. "Turn the car around."

"But Scarlett might die." Wyatt frowned, pressing his foot on the gas pedal. The car lurched forward, accelerating past the speed limit. "I'll check if she has any major issues, and then leave. I promise I won't keep Harper waiting for long."

Once he entered Scarlett's room, Wyatt tried to knock on the door but found it unlocked. It swung wide open, hinges creaking, as his hand connected to the wood.
