As Ayame and Amy sat down with all the food on the table, there was suddenly a ring at the front door. Amy's cat, Boba, who was busy eating his own food, perked up at the sound.
"Who could that be?" Amy mused, getting up from the table. "maybe delivery guy with our ice cream?"
Ayame shrugged, still munching on a bag of chips. "I don't know, but I hope it's nothing important. I'm in full food coma mode right now."
Amy chuckled as she walked over to the front door and opened it, revealing a tall, attractive man standing on the porch. He had messy brown hair and a charming smile, and was holding a grocery bag in his hand.
"Hey," he said, his tone is friendly but also familiar. "it's your food." The delivery guy said.
Amy's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, hi," she said, her voice a little hesitant. "Thank you for bringing the food." She took the bag from him and tried to shut the door, but he reached out and stopped her.
"Wait," he said, his smile still in place. "I was wondering if I could ask you a question real quick."
Amy furrowed her brow, feeling a bit uncomfortable. "Uh, sure, I guess," she said, slightly puzzled. "What is it?"
He leaned in closer, his voice taking on a slightly flirtatious tone. "I was just wondering if a cute girl like you was single," he said, looking Amy up and down appreciatively.
Amy quickly shut the door in the delivery guy's face, her heart racing a little. "What an idiot," she muttered, shaking her head. "Can't believe he hit on me like that."
Amy walked back into the living room, still feeling a little shaken. "That was so weird," she said to Ayame. "Some random delivery guy who doesn't even know me just tried to hit on me."
"Seriously?" Ayame said, looking up from her pile of junk food. "That's super creepy. Why do guys think it's okay to just ask women out like that?"
Amy rolled her eyes, but couldn't help laughing at Ayame's comment. "Yeah, maybe I should punch him," she said, grinning. "But I think slamming the door in his face was pretty satisfying too."
Ayame nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you definitely handled that well. But seriously, who does that guy think he is, approaching you like that?"
"I know, right?" Amy said, shaking her head. "I mean, I get that it's his job to deliver food and all, but that doesn't give him the right to flirt with every person he interacts with."
"Yeah, he definitely crossed a line," Ayame said, nodding. "And it's not like he even knew you or anything. He just saw a pretty girl answering the door and thought he could hit on her."
Amy nodded, still feeling a bit rattled. "Yeah, you're right," she said, sighing. "I probably should report him to the delivery service. He can't go around making women feel uncomfortable like that."
"Absolutely," Ayame agreed. "And if he's done it to you, he's probably done it to other women too. It's not okay."
Amy nodded again, feeling a little more empowered. "Yeah, you're right. I'm going to log into the app and report him right now."
"Good," Ayame said, giving her a supportive smile. "It's important to stand up for yourself and make sure those kinds of guys are held accountable for their actions."
Suddenly, Amy's phone rang, and she picked it up, seeing that it was her brother Yako calling. She groaned and rolled her eyes.
"Ugh, it's my brother," she said to Ayame, grimacing. "What does he want now?"
Ayame chuckled, knowing Amy's tumultuous relationship with her brother. "Just ignore it," she joked. "He's probably just bored and looking for someone to annoy."
Amy shook her head, but knew Ayame was probably right. "Yeah, you're probably right," she said, rolling her eyes again. "But I should probably answer it anyway, just in case it's important."
She pressed the answer button and put the phone to her ear. "Yeah, what do you want?" she said, her tone weary.
"I will be late at home, don't burn it down or father will kill me!" Yako said
Amy rolled her eyes again, her brother's constant jokes about burning down the house getting old. "Ha ha, very funny," she said sarcastically. "We're not going to burn down the house, moron."
Yako voice came through the phone, still teasing. "Yeah, yeah, I know. But I just wanted to make sure. You two have a tendency to cause trouble. Just don't do anything too crazy, okay?"
Amy let out a frustrated sigh. "We are perfectly capable of being responsible, thank you very much," she said, her voice dripping with annoyance. "We're just going to be watching movies and eating junk food. Nothing crazy."
Yako chuckled. "Okay, okay. Just messin' with you, sis. Have fun with your movie night. But seriously, try not to kill each other or something."
Amy rolled her eyes again, but couldn't help smiling a little. "Yeah, yeah. We'll try not to kill each other. No promises, though."
Amy pulled the phone away from her ear, shaking her head. "He is such an annoying pain in the ass," she muttered, putting her phone down.
Ayame laughed. "You know he just does it to get a rise out of you," she said, munching on a bag of chips.
"okay whatever, let's watch something shall we?" Amy said
Ayame nodded, smiling. "Absolutely," she said, looking around the room. "What do you feel like watching? Comedy? Horror? Action?"
Amy thought for a moment, then grinned. "How about we go all out with a movie marathon? We can start with a lighthearted comedy, then move on to a good action flick, and end the night with a suspenseful horror movie. How does that sound?"
Ayame's eyes lit up. "That sounds like an awesome plan," she said, already mentally preparing for the snack attack to come. "I'm in. Let's get this movie marathon started!"
With a shared sense of excitement, the girls settled in on the couch amid an array of snacks, remotes, and pillows, ready to embark on a cinematic journey that would fuel their sugar rush for the night.
They picked a light-hearted comedy to start, laughing and chatting through the first few scenes. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, as Ayame munched on a box of popcorn and Amy reached for a bag of gummy worms.
After the first movie ended, they moved on to an action-packed flick, the volume getting louder and the adrenaline pumping. They watched as stunts were executed with precision and witty one-liners were delivered with charm.
At the end of the action-packed movie, the girls were feeling energised and ready for more. However, they noticed that they had been so excited and engaged that they had unconsciously finished off most of their junk food stash.
With a shared sense of disappointment, the girls looked down at the now mostly empty snack containers littering the coffee table. They knew they had overdone it a bit, and their sugar crash was inevitable.
As the girls settled back into the couch, ready for the last movie of the night a suspenseful horror film they glanced at their now depleted snack collection. Deciding they had indulged enough, they made the decision to watch the movie without more snacks, opting instead for some light drinks.
By the end of the horror movie, the girls were both feeling exhausted and a little uneasy. The combination of the adrenaline rush from the scary scenes and the late hour was taking its toll. Both girls cuddled up under blankets, and as the credits rolled, they found themselves dozing off in each other company....
