The priest’s voice was grim. "Because they defy the gods. They summon horrors that devour worlds. It is not just power—it is corruption given form."  

A student hesitated. "But could one not use that power for—"  

“Silence!” The priest’s eyes burned with fervor. “There is no redemption for a summoner. And now, they speak of the worst of them all—a Summoner of Shadows. A heretic who will plunge the world into eternal darkness. He is the epitome of evil, and when he rises, he will destroy us all.”

Arturo obtained the class, but Cedric had no idea what it did. After interrogating the scholar on their way out of the Ascension Forge, he formed a basic understanding of the class.

"It allows me to memorize, understand, and even deduce things in seconds," explained the scholar as his black eyes shone with mysterious lights while he looked at the world. "I can retrieve information about anything I see with a glance—like those plants, the rocks, and even monsters."

"Are there any offensive abilities? Boosts in stats?" asked Cedric with a little disinterest. It sounded cool, but he was a battle maniac. "I just want to make sure that you wouldn't end up like before."

"It boosts my intelligence, and for offensive skills, it has an A-ranked skill. However, the skill itself isn't offensive, but it could help me grow stronger."
