The priest’s voice was grim. "Because they defy the gods. They summon horrors that devour worlds. It is not just power—it is corruption given form."  

A student hesitated. "But could one not use that power for—"  

“Silence!” The priest’s eyes burned with fervor. “There is no redemption for a summoner. And now, they speak of the worst of them all—a Summoner of Shadows. A heretic who will plunge the world into eternal darkness. He is the epitome of evil, and when he rises, he will destroy us all.”

Cedric watched the three notifications that appeared while he was completing his daily quest. It was strange to see his body move on its own, but nonetheless helpful if his mind was busy with other things. Even more so, he could meditate while doing these exercises.

"I guess the action itself must be repeated, regardless of the surroundings?" Cedric spoke while sitting on the riverbank. He was washing his body early in the morning after the exhausting day before.
