The priest’s voice was grim. "Because they defy the gods. They summon horrors that devour worlds. It is not just power—it is corruption given form."  

A student hesitated. "But could one not use that power for—"  

“Silence!” The priest’s eyes burned with fervor. “There is no redemption for a summoner. And now, they speak of the worst of them all—a Summoner of Shadows. A heretic who will plunge the world into eternal darkness. He is the epitome of evil, and when he rises, he will destroy us all.”

The Extra System: Summoner of Shadows

[Shadow Legion (B): a class-restricted skill belonging to the summoner of shadows. It allows the caster to summon an army of shadows according to the physical and class stats of the summoner. The duration of the summon can be extended if enough mana is available.]

Cedric read the notification with a grin, which proved that his hunch was right. The skill was not Multiple Summons, which was passive and allowed him to form more than one contract at the same time, but it was powerful in its own way.

"I have to try it out, right?" Cedric said with a grin as he raised a hand. He tried to use the skill, but he realized that he needed to chant something that appeared in his mind. "Arise and obey, my legion!"

A portion of Cedric's mana disappeared, rushing to activate a magical circle that appeared on the ground. The circle was black in color and held ominous stars swimming within the lines. Shadows rose from the circle, staggering up like zombies.
