Ba'dqeel looked up and watched the giant silver box being lowered down. His laser gun was held loosely in his hand, but that didn't mean he was calm. Wrukaog was right. There was no safe place here, not with the Rein breathing down their necks and males disappearing in their sleep.
He had even come to discover that even a few of his own servants had vanished, never to have been seen again.
But he had his priorities, and his mate was first on his list, no matter what anyone thought.
Axis walked up beside him just as the box gently touched down. The lines holding it to the runner were released, allowing them to fall to the ground as He'dtaalh and another male jumped out of the hovering craft.
As soon as everything was let go, the runner started to retreat, exiting the dome and allowing it to close behind it.
