Chapter 30: Learn Rokushiki in Seconds

As usual, before starting each day's training, Zephyr would discuss the day's training goals.

Today, he was talking about Rokushiki training.

Before Carl and the other three arrived, Zephyr had already explained the training methods of Rokushiki to the others. However, Rokushiki is not so easy to learn. Let alone mastering all six techniques, even being proficient in just one is a rare accomplishment.

Marine's future veteran Vice Admirals, such as Momonga and Onigumo, had only learned two or three techniques at most, while Akainu and Borsalino had not yet mastered them all.

With new recruits joining, Zephyr took the opportunity to teach Rokushiki again.

"Of course, you don't have to learn all six techniques. It depends on your personal situation. For someone like Borsalino, there is no need to learn Geppo. The power of his Glint-Glint Fruit gives him an innate ability to move through the air more effectively than Geppo."

Among the six techniques, the one Borsalino mastered best was Shigan, as it greatly increased the power of the lasers he emitted with his fingers.

Carl carefully watched as Zephyr explained Rokushiki one technique after another, and immediately excluded Tekkai and Kami-e from his consideration.

Among them, Kami-e seemed the most useless to him, as with his strength in Haki, he didn't see the need to use that skill.

As for Tekkai... wasn't that just an illusion?

Except for these two, the remaining four techniques were of great help to Carl.

Shigan and Rankyaku could compensate for Carl's current lack of single-target attack capabilities, while Soru and Geppo could greatly improve his mobility.

After Zephyr finished speaking, he dismissed the group and asked the students to consolidate what they had learned. He then approached Carl, prepared to offer personal instruction.

After all, Carl and the other three had arrived late, so it was understandable that Zephyr would give them some extra attention.

He looked at Carl and the other two standing before him and asked,

"Did you understand what I just said? Do you need me to demonstrate it again?"

Ginny and Kuma both nodded, but Carl remained silent.

Zephyr thought that Carl was processing what he had just learned, so he didn't disturb him and began guiding Ginny and Kuma first.

He started with Soru. Just as he was midway through his explanation, Carl suddenly moved.

Carl's feet tapped the ground at a speed that was difficult to discern with the naked eye, and in an instant, his body moved several meters away.

Seeing this, Zephyr's movements halted abruptly, and some students who witnessed it stood stunned.

Akainu grabbed Borsalino's fist and said sideways,

"Is that Soru? Carl has already learned it?"

However, he wasn't too surprised. The proficiency of Rokushiki techniques depends on one's physical fitness. The stronger the physical fitness, the faster one can learn, especially with 'simple' techniques like Soru.

Carl himself didn't think much of it. He tried it a few more times, moving faster and faster until he even left an afterimage in place.

This performance made some students who had not yet mastered Shave want to cry out that the world was unfair.

Ginny tilted her head and said to Zephyr,

"Teacher Zephyr, how about we go directly to Brother Carl to learn it later? You can jump straight to the next technique."

"Uh, okay. Actually, Shave is a very basic technique. Once you've mastered Shave, it means that your leg and foot strength are up to standard, and you can perform Geppo and Rankyaku..."

"Uh-huh!"

A cyan Slash Wave crossed half of the training ground and landed on the wall at the edge, leaving a deep crack on it.

Seeing Carl performing in the air, Zephyr was at a loss for words.

In less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, Carl had already learned three of the six techniques, while most of the students hadn't even finished their warm-up exercises.

Such talent was simply unheard of, already in the realm of monsters.

Some students were already kneeling on the training ground, questioning the meaning of their existence.

Carl frowned in mid-air and muttered to himself,

"It's not powerful enough. Let's try this again..."

"Crack!"

Carl stomped hard in the air and shot straight into the sky. In the process, his left foot erupted with a violent burst of lightning, which he then kicked downward.

"Rankyaku!"

Uh-huh!

A crescent-shaped Slash Wave entwined with electric arcs descended from the sky and struck the ground, triggering a violent explosion. Raging electric light spewed out, illuminating the stunned faces on the field.

Landing smoothly, Carl looked at the large black pit on the ground and finally smiled with satisfaction. This was the effect he had been aiming for!

Zephyr was already numb. He waved his hand weakly and said,

"You two go directly to Carl. These three techniques are enough for you to work on for a while..."

Ginny cheered and happily pulled Kuma along as they ran toward Carl.

Soon, many students had gathered around Carl. Momonga looked at the big hole that Carl had kicked out and muttered,

"Mr. Zephyr didn't teach you that move..."

Another sailor, in a better mood, patted his shoulder and said sincerely,

"Don't dwell on it. If you keep looking, it'll only make you more upset. We just need to focus on our own training. Don't compare yourself to Carl. He's not the same type of person as us."

Ginny didn't seem to care about that. She stood beside Carl and said softly,

"Brother Carl, Teacher Zephyr asked us to come to you, so I'm going to trouble you today~"

When Kuma saw this, he immediately said,

"Brother Carl, you can teach Ginny first. I'll just practice on my own."

Carl nodded and found a corner with Ginny to start one-on-one instruction.

Ginny carefully mimicked the techniques, swinging her long white legs back and forth in front of Carl, causing his blood to surge.

He shook his head and focused on explaining the key steps to Ginny, but it seemed Ginny wasn't fully focused. Rather than learning, it felt like she was deliberately showing off.

Seeing that Ginny wasn't making much progress, Carl stepped in to correct her posture. At that moment, Ginny bit her lip lightly and suddenly lifted her leg high.

This caused her to lose balance, and her calf ended up resting on Carl's shoulder, while her upper body tilted to one side. Carl instinctively reached out to steady her by holding her waist.

The two stood there in an awkward position. Ginny's face was pressed tightly against Carl's chest. The strong heartbeat made her feel warm all over, and her breathing became heavier.

Carl himself felt uncomfortable. Ginny's figure was stunning, and if he didn't react to such close contact, he might as well follow Ivankov in the future.

Taking a deep breath, Carl carefully shifted his shoulders, trying to get Ginny to lower her leg first.

However, Ginny had no intention of cooperating. A sly look appeared in her eyes as she used her strength again, causing the two of them to fall backward, close together...
