Huge Project

Priscilla's eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing. "I mean it, Henry. No more secret meetings, no more lies. If I find out you're still seeing her, it's over between us."

Henry nodded, feeling a knot form in his stomach. He knew he had hurt Priscilla deeply, and he didn't blame her for being angry.

"I understand," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'll stay away from her, I promise."

Priscilla turned to leave, but then spun back around. "And one more thing," she said, her voice icy. "If I see Jane anywhere near our home, our friends, or our family, there will be consequences. Do you understand?"

Henry nodded again, feeling a chill run down his spine. He knew Priscilla was not a woman to be trifled with.

"Yes, I understand," he said, his voice firm.

Priscilla's gaze lingered on him for a moment, then she turned and walked away, leaving Henry feeling shaken and uneasy.

Over the next few weeks, Henry made a concerted effort to avoid Jane, to prove to Priscilla that he was committed to their relationship.

But it wasn't easy, and he found himself constantly thinking about Jane, wondering what she was doing, who she was with.

And then, one day, he saw her. She was walking down the street, her hair shining in the sunlight. Henry's heart skipped a beat as their eyes met, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.

But then Henry remembered Priscilla's warning, and he quickly looked away, feeling a pang of guilt. He knew he had to stay away from Jane, no matter how hard it was.

Henry sat on the couch, staring blankly at the TV. He knew he didn't truly love Priscilla, but she had one thing he needed: money.

Her wealth paid his bills, sponsored his siblings' education, and even funded his mom's medical trip abroad.

But despite all the comforts Priscilla's money provided, Henry's heart belonged to Jane. He couldn't shake off the feeling, no matter how hard he tried.

"I still love Jane with all my heart," Henry whispered to himself, a sigh escaping his lips.

Just then, a plan formed in his mind. He smiled to himself, a sly grin spreading across his face.

"I think I know what to do after this whole drama," he said, his eyes gleaming with determination.

He continued watching TV, but his mind was elsewhere, plotting his next move.

Meanwhile, Priscilla walked into the room, a look of concern etched on her face. "Henry, is everything okay? You've been distant lately."

Henry forced a smile, trying to reassure her. "Everything's fine, Priscilla. Just stressed with work, that's all."

Priscilla nodded, but her eyes lingered on him, suspicion evident in her gaze. "If you're sure...I'm here for you, Henry."

Henry nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. He knew he was using Priscilla, but he couldn't help himself. He needed her money, and he needed his freedom to pursue Jane.

"Thanks, Priscilla," he said, his voice flat. "I appreciate it."

Priscilla sat down beside him, her hand reaching out to touch his arm. Henry flinched, feeling trapped. But he knew he had to play along, for now.

Mr. Micheal Lee, a successful businessman, sat in his office, looking concerned.

"We must plan for the event now, before it's too late," he said to his assistant.

His assistant, a young lady with a notepad, nodded eagerly.

"Yes, boss. And we need one of the best event planners in the country to make it happen."

Mr. Lee thought for a moment before responding. "I think we should call Lexi Thompson.'

'I've heard she's a professional and her work is unique."

His assistant's eyes widened in agreement. "That's a great idea, boss. I'll call her immediately."

The assistant quickly dialed Lexi's number and arranged for her to come to their office for a meeting.

The next day, Lexi arrived at the office, looking confident and stylish. Mr. Lee greeted her warmly and offered her a seat.

"Thank you for coming, Lexi," he said, smiling. "We're interested in hiring you to plan our upcoming event."

"Can I offer you a coffee?"

The secretary walked in with a steaming cup of coffee and placed it in front of Lexi. "Here you go, Lexi," she said with a smile.

Lexi's eyes lit up as she took the cup and inhaled the aroma. "Thank you so much," she said, taking a sip. The warmth of the coffee spread through her hands and into her chest.

"We want something unique and memorable," he said. "Can you show us what you have in mind?"

Lexi nodded, pulling out her portfolio. "I have a few ideas," she said, beginning to explain her vision.

As they discussed the event, Lexi's creativity and expertise impressed Mr. Lee and his assistant.

"I think we have found the right person for the job."he said smiling.

"Yes,"his secretary said, nodding her head.

"Lexi, we'd like to offer you the job,"

Mr. Lee said, smiling. "Can you make it happen?"

As they sipped their coffee, Lexi and Mr. Lee continued discussing the project, brainstorming ideas and tossing around suggestions.

The atmosphere was relaxed, but both parties were focused on reaching a mutually beneficial agreement.

"I like where this is going," Mr. Lee said, nodding his head. "But let's talk turkey. What kind of budget are we looking at?"

Lexi leaned back in her chair, her eyes narrowing slightly as she considered the question.

"Well, considering the scope of the project, I'd say we're looking at around $15,000."

Mr. Lee's eyebrows shot up. "That's a bit steeper than I was thinking," he said, his voice tinged with concern.

"Can you do it for less?"

Lexi smiled, anticipating this reaction. "I can do it for $12,500, but that's as low as I can go," she said firmly.

Mr. Lee hesitated, weighing his options. "I can do $11,000," he countered.

Lexi shook her head, her ponytail swishing behind her. "I can meet you in the middle at $11,750, but that's my final offer," she said, her voice firm but friendly.

Mr. Lee nodded thoughtfully, then extended his hand. "Deal," he said, smiling.

Lexi shook his hand, sealing the agreement. "I'll get started on the project right away," she said, gathering her things.

As she left the office, Lexi felt a sense of satisfaction. She had negotiated a fair price for her services, and she was excited to dive into the project.
