Another feeble attempt?...

"It's the Meridian King!" one of the Draegonians exclaimed, his memory quick to recognize Adrian's distinctive fiery chains.

Turning to Lilith, Adrian sought her confirmation. "You know what to do," he asked, and she nodded with a knowing glint in her eyes.

A wicked grin spread across Adrian's face as he faced the Draegonians. "This is going to be fun," he remarked, fully aware of the chaotic battle that was about to unfold.

The sound of blades slicing through flesh echoed from behind the Draegonians, and their faces contorted into a bewildered mix of shock and confusion as they turned to see their comrades falling.

Kudos and his mercenaries were silently at work, moving from tent to tent to slay those still asleep.

The sleeping Draegonians would awaken in the afterlife.

"That's our cue," Adrian whispered to Lilith.

Taking advantage of the chaos and fear that had gripped the Draegonians, Adrian sprang into action.

With swift agility, he ran forward a bit before utilizing his fiery chains to launch himself into the air, landing a few feet away from the shocked Draegonians.

As he landed, he unleashed all eight fiery chains upon the Draegonians without hesitation. Some managed to evade just in the nick of time, displaying quick reflexes, but others were less fortunate.

The chains coiled around those caught in their fiery grasp, and Adrian wielded them with ruthless precision.

He swung them forcefully, using the Draegonians entangled in the chains as makeshift weapons to strike at their comrades.

Bodies were flung through the air, crashing against the desert ground with brutal force.

The impact was jarring, and as their bodies crashed against the ground, the spear-like edges of the chains pierced through them, dealing fatal blows and sending them into the cold hands of death.

Adrian watched in amazement as Lilith's demeanor shifted from seductive charm to intense determination.

She was no longer alluring but fierce, like a fiery storm.

"Blade Dance of Terror!" she yelled and suddenly transformed into a spinning tornado of flames.

As she moved, bodies fell in her wake, consumed by the blazing dance of her wrath.

"What the hell is all this commotion I'm hearing?" Commander Kyros's voice echoed through the chaos as he emerged from his tent.

A small smile played on Adrian's lips. It seemed he had finally decided to join the fun.

'It's about time you showed up,' Adrian thought as his anticipation grew.

Kyros stood resolutely in front of his tent, which always occupied the center of the Draegonian camp.

He was already clad in his formidable Draegonian armor, his Morgenstern weapon resting on the ground beside him as he scanned his surroundings with a calculating eye.

"And who are all these?" Kyros inquired, his gaze sweeping over the mercenaries emerging from their hidden positions.

The mercenaries wasted no time, launching attacks on the unsuspecting Draegonian warriors.

Adrian was poised to make his move when a particularly daring mercenary broke away from the group and sprinted directly toward Kyros.

Curiosity led Adrian to pause, eager to witness how this foolhardy charge would unfold.

With his sword raised high and ready to strike, the mercenary closed in on Kyros.

Surprisingly, Kyros made no attempt to evade the attack.

Instead, as the mercenary came within striking range, Kyros seized his Morgenstern and performed a full-circle twirl, using the force of the spin to gather momentum.

At the peak of his spin, he delivered a devastating blow, the heavy weapon connecting squarely with the mercenary's face.

Wham!!!

The impact was thunderous, and Adrian watched in awe as the mercenary's body was sent hurtling several yards through the air, his face shattered by the sheer force of the blow.

'Stupid,' Adrian scoffed inwardly, shaking his head at the audacity of the mercenary's ill-fated charge.

Quickly, Adrian retrieved a sword from one of the fallen Draegonians and tested its weight with a few swings.

"Lilith? Let's swap," Adrian called out, and she promptly tossed his glowing sword in his direction.

With precise coordination, he threw the Draegonian sword he had picked and caught his own almost immediately, the familiar weight and feel of his weapon reassuring in his grip.

Adrian's gaze remained fixed on the sword for a few moments, its blade aglow with a mesmerizing amber aura swirling around it.

Lilith had infused the weapon with a portion of her magical energy, charging it with an otherworldly power.

Armed with that, Adrian began his deliberate march toward Kyros. With each step, anyone foolish enough to stand in his path met the merciless edge of his sword.

Slice!!!

The air was filled with the sound of steel meeting flesh. The magic on the blade made it easy to penetrate their hard scaled armor.

Blood splatters painted the desert sands as the Draegonians fell, their futile attempts at defense no match for Adrian's well planned assault.

Those who dared to attack from behind faced a cruel fate as well. Adrian expertly wielded his fiery chains, using them to lash out at anyone who attempted a sneak attack.

The chains coiled around them, constricting with brutal force, tearing through flesh and bone.

As Adrian closed the distance between Kyros and himself, he launched his glowing sword at the commander with precision.

However, Kyros was no ordinary opponent. He swiftly wielded his formidable Morgenstern, deflecting Adrian's sword with practiced ease. It landed in the desert sands with a muted sound.

Thud!

Kyros lifted his head, his eyes narrowing as he recognized Adrian immediately. His tone took on a taunting, teasing quality as he spoke, "Well, well, look who we have here. What's the meaning of all this?"

Adrian continued to advance, stopping mere inches from him. "Uhmm… revenge?" Adrian responded with a wry tilt of his head.

Kyros scoffed, his confidence evident. "You call this feeble attempt revenge? And how come you're still alive?" he inquired.

"That's because you did a poor job killing me the last time," Adrian replied, his words laced with taunt.

Kyros's eyes flared with a mix of irritation and determination. "Why don't I finish the job properly this time?" he threatened, removing his weapon from its slung position on his shoulder.

"I'd love to see you try," Adrian retorted, a smirk tugging at his lips. "And let's see how feeble my attempt will be this time."

With a stretch of his hand, Adrian willed his glowing sword back to him.

Like metal drawn to a powerful magnet, the sword flipped through the air until the hilt landed securely in his hand, and he clamped his fingers around it.

They charged at each other with furious intensity, their weapons colliding in a resounding clash.

Clang!

Their weapons met with a thunderous crash, and they pressed against each other, their faces mere inches apart.

Kyros's teeth were gritted in anger as he locked eyes with Adrian, fury burning in his gaze.

"Shall we?" Adrian taunted, a smirk playing on his lips.
