Academy Grounds

Calming himself down as quickly as he could, White looked around the training room, trying to find if there were any people around.

"Thank god I chose a private training room tonight," White mumbled as relief flooded his body.

And he collapsed onto the floor right the next second.

'Ah, that was hell on earth, why couldn't I just get the system and not have to fight that damned monster' White thought as he whispered.

"Status"

The status screen appeared before him, nothing had changed from the last time with him still being level nine.

"Alright, I need to get out of here now, I don't know how long I've been in here but it would be bad if people came looking for me, that would just arouse trouble," White said as he put his hands on his knees and pushed himself up.

Instead of just standing up, however, White jumped into the air.

'Huh?' Looking confused, White quickly made a stance as he landed on the ground perfectly.

'I don't have much control over my strength yet huh? I guess there goes my idea of saving points for when I'm in a dire situation, if I can't even control the new power I can so suddenly then it would be more of a weakness than a boon unless I'm in a scenario where I'm about to be crushed by a boulder White thought as his brows furrowed, and then he nodded to himself.

'Right, the best decision at this point is to use all points one by one as I get them, I won't have some secret boon in case something dangerous does happen however I would be able to use all of my power to the best of my abilities instead of it going to waste or even working against me like what just happened.'

Releasing a long breath, White inhaled as his chest puffed from the amount of air and then released one more long huff as his body finally started to relax and diffuse from the stress it had experienced merely a few minutes ago.

And just as the stress started disappearing from his body, the tiredness started appearing. To White it felt like his entire body was about to fall over at how tired he felt, there was no pain just sleepiness.

"Let's just get out of here"

Grabbing the training sword, he went and put it on the holster next to the exit of the room where the training weapons were kept and then stopped.

'Uhh, that sword is full of blood isn't it?' White thought as he quickly went to check up on the sword once more, only to find the sword clean of any battle marks or blood. It looked just like how it had before he had even been teleported to that arena.

'But how? My Clothes are still clearly ruined. There must be some reason, however, I don't want to stay here any second longer.' White thought as he decided he would investigate that further another time.

Going towards the Exit Gate, he typed the security code on the small tablet that was fixed on the wall and the gate opened with a rumbling sound.

Heading out of the private training room, White walked along a long hall with similar private rooms on both sides, it was long as it took him nearly a minute to simply arrive at its end where another door stood.

Typing the security code just like he had done before, this gate opened as well with the same rumbling sound as the other.

When it opened it revealed a small open area that was in the form of a circle with halls expanding from it in all directions, White however headed to the gate directly at the top of the hall, it was also the gate with the number one on top of it.

Just as before, White put the code in and headed outside of the room.

'All these security passes just to get to the training rooms. The MTPF really is something different' White thought as he finally left the building he was in, the outside was a large park with an asphalt road heading on both sides and large buildings all around with the park in the center of it all.

'The largest Human Military Academy, Avarice, part of the Military Training Program for the Future or MTPF for short.' White exclaimed in his mind, still in awe every time he saw it even though he had already been here for a few months now.

'I wonder sometimes, just how magnificent Humanity was like before the Vampires, Dwarves, Elves and Demons raided our world.' White thought as he started walking to the left, heading towards what looked like a bus station.

From what he could see, it was just a bit before midnight so he hadn't spent much time in the Arena, only an hour or so.

Sitting on the Station bench, White thought about all his struggles until now.

'I was told that I'm a talentless bastard, someone who could barely achieve D-rank if he trained all his life, and even then it would be almost impossible' White thought as a smirk took over his face, it looked almost sinister like in the dark atmosphere of the night.

'D-Rank huh, well we will have to see that huh, Training professor' White continued to think as he waited for the bus, Continued to remember his suffering as someone from the lowest rings of society, he remembered his fall into what most would call the circle of useless humans, how he lost his parents and how he couldn't do anything to change his fate no matter how hard he tried.

The bus arrived soon as he got up and went inside it, taking a seat in the front row.

It was a small bus that was entirely self-driving and it continued to drive around the Academy grounds until three am in the morning and then started back again at five.

Watching the full moon outside, White thought.

'This is my chance and I'm not letting it slip, I'll choke it if I have to but I'm not letting go.'
