Chapter 10: Recover Yourself! (2/2)

The weekend finally arrived.

The entire grade at the ninja school was undergoing a preliminary test.

The results of this test would determine the top position in the grade.

It was called the top spot.

But to Wakaho, it was essentially just another academic ranking.

The positions would be adjusted based on future exam results.

It was like receiving a certificate in advance, encouraging other students to study harder.

The competition was still somewhat intense.

However, for someone like Wakaho, handling such small events was a piece of cake.

But to ensure that he secured the top spot and to lay the groundwork for early graduation, Wakaho decided to seek out the teacher, Yamaki, after the exam.

Speaking of which, Yamaki had previously mentioned reporting the fight to the Hokage.

But a week had passed, and Wakaho hadn't heard any news.

Knock, knock, knock—

Wakaho stood at the door, knocking politely.

"It's Wakaho. What's up?"

"I came to help you grade the papers, Sensei."

"..." Yamaki pondered for a moment and rejected Wakaho's "help."

He would rather rely on his own shadow clones.

"You don't need to worry about that. Go have lunch first. The results will be announced in the afternoon."

Yamaki waved his hand, preparing to grade papers with a red pen.

But before he could start, he noticed Wakaho hadn't left and asked helplessly, "Is there anything else, Class Leader?"

Yamaki slightly emphasized the term "Class Leader."

"The content of this test was very simple, Sensei," Wakaho said coolly. "I want to know if future exams will always be this simple."

"Is it just about digesting the material in the textbook and filling it out on the exam paper?"

Yamaki was taken aback. Wakaho's statement wasn't wrong, and he nodded.

"For practical aspects, the teacher will also cover some knowledge not in the textbook, so attending classes seriously is still necessary."

Regarding seriousness, Yamaki was quite surprised by Wakaho's performance this week.

Most of what was taught in the first-year class was basic theory, which was actually quite familiar to students from major clans who had undergone training.

Wakaho had already shown strength far beyond his peers.

So Yamaki thought Wakaho was a young Uchiha being groomed for special focus.

Even so, Wakaho still paid serious attention in class.

It was quite unexpected.

"But I am already the strongest in the class. Even those older students, when they see me, have to avoid me."

Wakaho shrugged. "So Sensei, what else can I learn at the ninja school?"

They avoid him because their clan leaders issued orders, which wasn't something to be proud of.

Yamaki's head was starting to ache.

"Don't be too complacent, Wakaho," Yamaki said patiently. "You're only in the first year. There's still..."

"I've already finished reading all the textbooks for the higher years, Sensei."

Yamaki was halfway through his sentence when Wakaho coldly interrupted.

"Excuse my bluntness, but the theoretical knowledge taught at the ninja school is too basic for me."

"So I really admire Sensei... for being able to patiently explain such simple things over and over again as a Chunin."

"It's something I couldn't do. Thank you for your hard work."

After finishing, Wakaho gave a deep bow, making Yamaki's eye twitch.

The teacher still liked your rebellious attitude, but could you please tone it down a bit?

This kind of behavior made the teacher feel a bit uneasy!

"Wakaho, what exactly do you want..." Yamaki asked cautiously.

"I want to apply for early graduation, Sensei," Wakaho stated his true intention.

"Time is of the essence. I want to become a ninja as soon as possible to serve my clan and village."

"So, please give me an application form. I'll take it home for my parents to sign."

Wakaho stared into Yamaki's eyes.

"Konoha needs me."
