There was only one class on Friday afternoon.
School let out at 3:30.
Instead of heading home, the two brothers went straight to the Konoha Police Department.
Although Fugaku had only "invited" one of them, how could he leave his little brother behind on an opportunity to benefit? After all, he was the big brother!
"Don't be nervous when you see the clan leader. He's easy to talk to, understand?"
"Uh-huh!" Besides his grandma's cane and his big brother's iron fist, Obito wasn't afraid of anyone.
As they neared the Konoha Police Department, they spotted Shisui sitting on a bench, studying his ninja school textbooks.
It might be hard to believe, but Shisui, who hadn't even reached school age, was actually Obito's after-school tutor.
Heaven knows how awful Obito's grades were. With Rin, the top student, as his desk neighbor and the little genius Shisui helping him after school, Obito still managed to score two points less than Might Guy on exams!
"You're already on next semester's material?" Wakaho's expression was a bit strange.
"Ah, big brother, Obito, you're here!" Shisui looked up, his little face full of excitement.
After a brief moment of bonding, their mission today was to benefit from Fugaku.
The Konoha Police Department, a historically significant building nearly as old as the Hokage Tower, stood as one of Konoha's iconic structures. It was also one of the few Uchiha clan buildings that hadn't moved with the rest of the clan.
The Uchiha clan crest was proudly displayed, with the Konoha Police Department sign beneath it.
The overall feel of the building was less grand than the Hokage Tower but still quite dignified. Uchihas in Konoha-standard vests, with police department armbands, were bustling in and out, giving the place the distinct atmosphere of a ninja police headquarters.
Yukihi felt a gaze from the top of the building, through a reflective window.
"Let's go, time to learn ninjutsu from the clan leader," Yukihi commanded, leading his two little brothers into the police department.
At that moment, a tired but angry middle-aged man walked by, muttering and cursing, glancing back every three steps as if he had a big grievance against the police department.
"So what if I drank a little? I didn't mean to cause trouble, and they detained me all night!"
"These damn Uchihas..."
"One day, I'll burn this damn place down... ouch!"
The man tripped and fell, letting out a cry of pain, then angrily glared at the nearby kids.
"Damn brats, watch where you're going!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than—
Bang!
Obito lunged, kneeing the man in the forehead!
The man hadn't even gotten up before being knocked down again, with Obito holding him down in a seven-point stance, glaring at him as if in a fit of rage!
"Don't—curse—my—brother!"
Obito might be goofy, but he sure stepped up when it mattered!
"Obito is so cool!" Shisui cheered, waving his little hands excitedly.
Wakaho nodded in satisfaction at his two little brothers.
Obito's reaction was exactly what he had hoped for after all his training.
"Alright, Obito, let the gentleman go. He didn't mean any harm," Wakaho said calmly.
"Hmph!" Obito gave the man one last glare before getting up.
Wakaho crouched down in front of the man, patting his face with a smile. "Sir, are you alright?"
"My brother didn't mean it. He's still young. Could you not hold it against him?"
