Jensen instructed over his mobile phone swiftly, "Investigate what I just told you and keep an eye on them. Don't let them slip away."
After hanging up, Jensen stared at Heinz.
Heinz walked in and scoffed, "You're really a coward officer."
Jensen was disheartened by Heinz's remark and could not retort.
Heinz changed the subject when Jensen did not speak. He asked, "Who assaulted Alice?"
"How did you know?" Jensen asked.
Heinz should not have found out so quickly. He even made a trip to Jensen's place to check on Alice.
"Alice called me," Heinz explained, "I came as soon as possible. Her face was seriously injured. Who did it?"
"Carl Witlock," Jensen replied, "The one who ran a nightclub in the north part of the city. He used to run an illegal factory but it was raided. We closed down the nightclub too. He probably has no income now, so he abducted Alice to warn me."
"Carl Witlock?" Heinz sneered and replied sarcastically, "Who is he to threaten you?"
