Chapter 51: Returning Home

"The Taixu Ancient Dragon Clan is extremely wealthy. If you return to your clan, they can provide you with far more elixirs than I ever could. Are you sure you don't want to go back?"

Seeing Zi Yan throw a tantrum, Jiang Xing knew how to handle her.

He decided to use temptation. Zi Yan was greedy and would not be able to resist.

Sure enough, when she heard there would be plenty of elixirs waiting for her if she returned, she started hesitating.

Jiang Xing, amused by her reaction, waited for her to agree.

"Then I don't want them either!"

"Well, we'll wait two days... wait, what? You said you don't want them?"

Jiang Xing realized midway that Zi Yan had rejected the offer. Although he was touched that she was so willing to follow him, they had to go to Dragon Island. Zi Yan had to become the Dragon King, especially if they were to have a place to hide in the future.

Jiang Xing began to persuade her sincerely, "Zi Yan, listen to me. These are your people. No one knows the Taixu Ancient Dragons better than they do. They can help you grow stronger, much faster."

But Zi Yan remained unmoved by the promise of rapid strength improvement.

With no other options, Jiang Xing resorted to a different approach.

"Zi Yan, I've provoked a very powerful force. I wanted you to return to your clan so you could grow quickly and help me. But if you really don't want to, then forget it. I'll just face them alone in the future..."

As he spoke, Jiang Xing forced a smile.

Zi Yan, confused, asked, "A very powerful force?"

"Yes, I was hoping you'd grow strong enough to help me soon. But if it makes you unhappy, then I guess it's okay..." Jiang Xing smiled faintly, as if resigned to face everything on his own.

Seeing him like that, Zi Yan panicked.

"No... I'll go."

Jiang Xing, still acting, said, "Zi Yan, don't force yourself. If you really don't want to go, that's fine. I just want you to be happy."

Zi Yan hurriedly explained, "No, I just... I don't want to leave you. It's not that I don't want to go back to the clan."

Just as expected, the little girl was easy to convince. With his emotional manipulation, Zi Yan quickly agreed.

But Jiang Xing still had to play along, so he asked, "Really?"

"Really. I mean it." Zi Yan nodded quickly.

Jiang Xing, looking touched, said, "Zi Yan, thank you so much."

"You're welcome..." Zi Yan blushed, embarrassed by his words. Then she changed the subject, "What about Qing Lin? Will she be coming with us?"

"Yes, I'll talk to her in a minute."

"Go get ready first, Zi Yan. We'll leave in two days."

"Okay!"

With that, Zi Yan ran off to her room to pack.

Lying to such a simple girl... Jiang Xing felt a twinge of guilt but quickly shrugged it off.

He went to the next room to find Qing Lin and asked her as well. As expected, Qing Lin's answer was, "I want to follow the young master too."

Two days later, Jiang Xing, Medusa, Qing Lin, Zi Yan, Ji Feng, and Lin Shan arrived at the space passage in the Tagor Desert, ready to depart.

The space channel was constructed by Jiang Xing's grandfather and would allow them to teleport quickly.

"Let's go!" Jiang Xing called.

Everyone stepped into the wormhole.

…

In the eastern part of Zhongzhou, at the Jiang family estate.

The space channel built by Jiang Cheng was incredibly fast. What would have normally taken over a month now took only five days.

As soon as Jiang Xing exited the portal, he spotted a familiar figure and shouted excitedly, "Grandpa!"

Jiang Cheng, who had been cultivating, sensed a small fluctuation in the space channel and came out to check.

Soon enough, Jiang Xing and his group emerged.

Seeing his grandson return, Jiang Cheng's face lit up with joy. And when he saw Medusa holding Jiang Xing's hand, his joy doubled.

He thought to himself, "Is this the granddaughter-in-law my grandson has found? My boy's grown up!"

When Jiang Xing reached his grandfather, he introduced Medusa.

"Grandpa, this is Cai Lin."

On the journey, Jiang Xing had thought about what to call Medusa. Referring to her as "Medusa" didn't seem appropriate anymore, so he suggested the name "Cai Lin," which she liked.

"Cai Lin, this is my grandpa. Just call him grandpa like I do."

After the introduction, Cai Lin greeted, "Hello, Grandpa."

"Oh, okay, okay," Jiang Cheng, despite being a powerful six-star Dou Sheng, was caught off guard and nodded repeatedly, thrilled by the greeting.

He quickly pulled out a storage ring from his pocket. "This is our first meeting. Here, Grandpa has a gift for you."

"No need, Grandpa," Medusa politely waved her hands.

But Jiang Xing said, "This is a small gift from Grandpa. You should accept it."

Jiang Cheng echoed, "Yes, yes, it's just a little something."

Hearing that, Cai Lin accepted the ring and smiled. "Thank you, Grandpa!"

"Haha, no need to be so formal with Grandpa."

After the introductions, Jiang Xing also presented Qing Lin and Zi Yan.

"Grandpa, this is Qing Lin and Zi Yan."

"Green Snake with Three Flower Pupils? Ancient Taixu Dragon?"

Jiang Cheng instantly recognized the uniqueness of Qing Lin and Zi Yan. Of course, Jiang Xing wasn't surprised by this.

His grandfather was a six-star Dou Sheng with extensive knowledge, so it would have been odd if he hadn't recognized them.

After inviting everyone into the main hall and chatting for a while, Jiang Cheng arranged rooms for them to rest after their long journey.

Jiang Xing and his grandfather remained in the hall for a private talk.

Sensing his grandson's aura, Jiang Cheng was pleased. "Not bad, not bad. You've already reached six-star Dou Zun. Looks like you've been working hard on your cultivation."

Jiang Cheng was both shocked and proud of his grandson's rapid progress. He clearly remembered that when they last saw each other after exiting the Gate of Life and Death, Jiang Xing was only a two-star Dou Zun.

Yet, in just a few months, Jiang Xing had advanced by four stars and reached six-star Dou Zun!

With such talent, even the geniuses from ancient families couldn't compare to him.

Jiang Cheng had a feeling that, perhaps in the near future, Jiang Xing might even surpass him.
