The spaceship broke through Planet Cereal's atmosphere, heading towards the vast expanse of stars.
They were leaving Planet Cereal.
There was no reason to stay any longer.
They had come to Planet Cereal for two specific reasons, but the investigation into Bardock's information was left unfinished, and Monaito was not found either.
However, they had caused considerable damage to the Frieza Force.
It is impossible to say that there were no gains.
The spaceship accelerated, and Talot and Salari leaned back in their chairs to rest. Meanwhile, Salari was chatting with Tights about their recent experiences.
For Tights, this was incredibly exciting.
She had never imagined diving straight into the heart of an evil force's governed territory, causing so much destruction, and then managing to escape unscathed and unnoticed.
As the two were happily chatting away, Talot, who had been lost in thought, suddenly tensed, his eyes widening. His hairs stood on end, as a chilling sensation overtook him.
He sensed an unimaginably terrifying aura directly ahead on their path.
'This aura... Is it Frieza?!' Talot clenched his fists tightly.
The aura was sinister and evil, like an abyss. Although Talot had never directly experienced Frieza's aura before, he was absolutely certain—this was Frieza's ki!
"Brother Talot, what's wrong?" Salari asked curiously, noticing his unusual reaction.
But soon, her delayed senses caught on. She froze as cold sweat began to drip down her face.
She had also sensed that terrifying aura.
"What's going on?"
Tights, noticing their reactions, was confused and stunned.
As an ordinary human, she couldn't sense anything. It wasn't until she noticed a spaceship flashing past theirs at an incredible speed that she began to realize something.
"Could there have been someone powerful on that spaceship just now?" she asked.
Knowing Talot and Salari's abilities, she understood that only someone extremely powerful could elicit such a reaction from them.
Moreover, this was the first time she had ever seen such an expression on their face.
Cautious, solemn, and even somewhat fearful.
Talot and Salari didn't respond.
The two unconsciously moved to the ship's porthole, gazing into the distance.
Although they couldn't see anything as the spaceship had passed them by, Talot knew that Frieza and soldiers aboard that ship must have noticed them.
"Frieza!! I never expected to encounter him at a time like this! It's a good thing we left when we did," Talot said, taking a deep breath.
He hadn't had time to use a scouter to check around…
But even if he had, it wouldn't have helped. The distance was too great, and the speed too fast to track.
"What!! Frieza? The Emperor of the Universe? So we just narrowly escaped a disaster," Tights finally realized they had just crossed paths with the most terrifying emperor of the Frieza Force.
"Brother Talot, was that really Frieza? That aura was just... incredibly terrifying…" Salari gasped.
At this moment, she realized that even though they had grown so much stronger, the disparity between them and Frieza was still so immense.
"Let's leave quickly, and activate the stealth mode. If we get tracked, things could get messy," Talot reminded Tights.
Right now, the priority was to leave this star system as fast as possible.
Hopefully, Frieza wouldn't consider them worth his attention.
…..
Meanwhile, aboard Frieza's spaceship.
In the control center, Frieza was sitting on his personal hover pod, flanked by his aides, Zarbon and Dodoria.
"Strange, that spaceship just now doesn't seem to belong to us. Zarbon, go investigate who that spaceship belongs to." Frieza's sudden remark startled Zarbon and Dodoria, who were beside him.
As Frieza's closest aides, they were well aware of his temperament.
"Yes, Lord Frieza, I'll look into it right away," Zarbon responded promptly, wasting no time as he stepped up to the console.
Following Frieza's orders, he instructed the crew to retrieve detailed information about the spaceship and used his high-level access to dig further into the records.
After verifying that the ship wasn't in the records and had departed from Planet Cereal, Zarbon quickly reported back to Frieza.
"Lord Frieza, the ship in question is not in our records. According to the intelligence, this spaceship appeared on Planet Cereal three months ago and then vanished without a trace. It has only resurfaced now," As Zarbon spoke, he began feeling uneasy.
Sure enough, Frieza reacted exactly as Zarbon feared. With his signature devilish laugh and a gloomy voice, he said:
"Hohohoho~~! An unregistered spaceship, appearing on Planet Cereal, disappearing, and then crossing paths with me! Are the people on Planet Cereal all useless trash?"
As the self-proclaimed emperor of the universe, he hated nothing more than when things go wrong.
Zarbon and Dodoria were terrified.
"Lord Frieza, there is something I'm unsure whether I should say…" a soldier suddenly interjected.
Both Zarbon and Dodoria broke into a cold sweat, while Frieza looked at the ugly pilot with amusement.
"Oh? I've always liked it when my subordinates speak up. Whatever it is, go ahead and say it, you won't be punished," Frieza's teasing words were filled with intimidation.
The one who spoke was none other than Sorbet—the same Sorbet who, in the original work, later used the Dragon Balls to resurrect Frieza.
A mere soldier with a power level of only a few hundred.
Who could have imagined that he would one day become the commander of the remnants of the Frieza Force?
Even after Frieza's resurrection, he was given an important position.
Sorbet certainly had guts, otherwise he wouldn't have dared to speak up now.
"Please forgive me for speaking bluntly, could it be a hidden spaceship of the Heeter Force? While they cooperate with you, they've never really sworn allegiance to you, Lord Frieza. Especially since we captured Planet Cereal, the people of Heeter Force have disappeared." Sorbet's words successfully diverted everyone's attention.
Frieza was no stranger to the Heeter Force, and neither were Zarbon and Dodoria.
"You've brought up a good point. Very well, you'll be the commander of this flagship from now on."
With that single casual sentence, Sorbet was promoted from a lowly system operator to the commander of the spaceship.
Sorbet was overwhelmed with excitement and bowed respectfully, while the other soldiers looked on with envy and resentment.
Many of them had the same idea as Sorbet, but none had dared to speak up.
"Do you need me to investigate further?" Ignoring Sorbet, Zarbon, eager to show off, asked for instructions.
"Go ahead, get to the bottom of it! If it was really someone from the Heeter Force, send the Ginyu Force to annihilate them," Frieza said with a sinister smile.
Frieza had long been aware of the Heeter Force leader Elec's grand ambitions.
That man aimed to overthrow him and claim the throne of the universe's emperor.
But how could the throne of the universe emperor be something that mere ants can gaze upon?
"As you command, Lord Frieza." Zarbon nodded and left the control center.
As Zarbon left, Dodoria, unable to contain his curiosity, asked, "Lord Frieza, according to our intelligence, the highest power level among the Heeter Force members barely exceeds 10,000. Wouldn't sending the Ginyu Force be overkill? Even Zarbon or I could handle them alone."
Dodoria's overconfidence was palpable.
Frieza chuckled. "Hohohoho~! Indeed, the Heeter Force is just a group of misfits, and deploying a special squad does give them undue importance. However, Dodoria, it seems you've forgotten something. Back on Planet Meat, it was because of your negligence that a Saiyan managed to escape from Planet Meat and almost ended up in front of me."
As Frieza spoke, his crimson eyes glanced at Dodoria, whose expression changed drastically as cold sweat dripped from his forehead.
"To eradicate weeds, one must remove the roots. The Ginyu Force's thorough methods and efficiency ensure they won't disappoint me. As for you, I have another task in mind," Frieza emphasized as he reminded Dodoria.
Dodoria, now drenched in sweat, stammered nervously, "Please rest assured, Lord Frieza. That kind of mistake will never happen again."
"Hohohoho~! Good. I still trust you, Dodoria," Frieza said with another devilish laugh, choosing not to pursue the matter further.
Dodoria inwardly let out a sigh of relief.
He hadn't expected Lord Frieza to remember an incident from so long ago. He resolved never to make such a low-level mistake again.
After all, with Frieza's temperament, even if one is his aide, there is still a risk of being killed.
...
Time flew by.
Ten days passed in the blink of an eye.
After their close encounter with Frieza's spaceship, Talot directed Tights to steer their spaceship to quickly escape from the star system where Planet Cereal was located.
Of course, they didn't spend all ten days desperately trying to distance themselves from the star region where Planet Cereal was located.
After all, no matter how scared they were, they didn't need to be that afraid.
For the first three days, they were indeed worried about being tracked by scouts, so they crossed two large star systems. But starting from the fourth day, that wasn't the case.
With more advanced navigation technology, even if Frieza Force's spaceship pursued at full speed, it would never catch up to their ship.
In the following days, their ship intercepted information about a Saiyan squad invading a certain planet. Without hesitation, they set course for that planet.
For Talot and Salari, much had already been accomplished, and their strength was sufficient.
Knowing Raditz's location, if they don't go find him, it means they truly don't care about him.
Sometimes, it all comes down to timing…
