Vander kept bowing, making sure his forehead touched the very ground he knelt on as he sang praises of his master.

"Kael Valois," the demon drawled. When a claw of his reached for Kael's face, he would fly back and smile. "Such essence... can I have it?" He licked his lips, a slithering tongue rubbing over his lips.

Vander raised his face. "Master, I can have other things he owns, right?"

The demon didn't say a word; he just stared at Kael like there was something about him.

"What could be so special about you that you're made to walk in the seven paths?" the demon queried, a little dissatisfaction in its voice.
