Luxan dropped the last card that had his red skull. He wasn't smiling, nor was he frowning; he only just scanned Kael's face, to study him or just to ogle. No expression was written on the demon's face, but he stared.

After a few minutes of eye-thrusting, the demon rose from his chair and strode back to the spot where Kael had found him when he arrived.

In front of the piano, the demon tapped the first key slowly, then the next. Soon, his fingers were moving fast, striking different sounds at the same time to make a soothing melody that filled the room. Then came his voice, humming a low tone.

A sorrowful dirge, he sang. Something about an old pot, formed from clay and left under the sun, became the strongest and most prized piece of man. Gave man cold water on hot days and hot on cold days.
