"I can't be your meal..." Jacquelyn pleaded, trying to reason with the man who was supposedly her husband.

"Saheme..." Kael repeated. He noticed how the demon backed away from him.

Kael moved his jaw to the side, trying to straighten it. He took his time on the ground, trying to catch his breath.

"All of this was just because of a misconception in names..." Kael groaned. "That's too low even for you, I tell you." He rubbed his lips, wiping off his own blood.

The demon now stood a little farther from Kael, his golden eyes had turned pitch black, yet his bleeding heart remained. The snarl and animal sounds the demon made had now reduced.

"What next?" Kael asked, already tired and unable to take another beating from this mad demon with his face, especially when he had all his powers sealed away by the devil. He felt pain like a human would.
